Trusting Without Having A Pillar To Lean On
When there’s nothing left to believe, all we can do is trust blindly.
Some things feel too distant. We want them. We work for them. Our love for it can be genuine. Yet, we can’t trust until we have something firm to hold on to, to believe it will happen.
Our trust always relies on a pillar to lean on. Before we place trust in anything we want, we wish to come true, we always want a certainty, a reason to believe that it could happen.
We look around for the proofs, signs, possibilities or at least minor hopes that speak of its possibility; that can send a small ray of hope that it can come true.
This makes our trust dependent. Those possibilities or signs become a pillar to lean on before placing our trust.
Many times we become so addicted to it that we can’t trust without seeing something that makes sense, something that outlines it’s happening.
Often we are incapable of such trusting without a strong pillar because even before trusting, we conclude it will not happen if we don’t have anything assuring to keep hope alive.
But there’s magic in trusting blindly, even when the situation around us doesn’t work in our favour; even when there’s nothing that assures of happening…
