## Pricing

from $1.60 / 1,000 records

This Actor is paid per event. You are not charged for the Apify platform usage, but only a fixed price for specific events.
Since this Actor supports Apify Store discounts, the price gets lower the higher subscription plan you have.

## What's an Apify Actor?

Actors are web data automations that power AI and operations. They run on the Apify platform to scrape websites, process data, connect APIs, and automate workflows.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.
Actors are written with capital "A".

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.
The best way to integrate Actors is as follows.

- **AI agents and MCP clients** — the [Apify MCP server](https://docs.apify.com/integrations/mcp.md) at `https://mcp.apify.com` (remote, streamable HTTP, OAuth on first use).
- **Agentic workflows and local Actor development** — [Agent Skills](https://apify.com/.well-known/agent-skills/index.json) with the [Apify CLI](https://docs.apify.com/cli/docs.md): `npm install -g apify-cli`, then `apify login`.
- **JavaScript/TypeScript projects** — the official [JS/TS client](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md): `npm install apify-client`.
- **Python projects** — the official [Python client](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md): `pip install apify-client`.
- **Any other language** — the [REST API](https://docs.apify.com/api/v2.md).

For usage examples, see the [API](#api) section below.

# README

## App Store Developer Portfolio Scraper: All Apps

Get **every app a developer publishes** on the App Store, plus portfolio-level stats that summarise a competitor in one row.

Search by **publisher name or Apple artist ID**: `Spotify`, `Duolingo` and `284882218` all work.

### The summary row

Alongside every app, you get one summary per developer:

| Field | Example |
|---|---|
| `totalApps` | 13 |
| `totalRatings` | 41,692,832 |
| `weightedAvgRating` | 4.57 |
| `freeApps` / `paidApps` | 11 / 2 |
| `topGenres` | Social Networking (4), Business (4) |
| `mostRatedApp` | Facebook |
| `lastUpdatedAt` | 2026-07-24 |

That's a competitor sized up at a glance, instead of you averaging ratings by hand.

### Input example

```json
{
  "developers": ["Spotify", "Duolingo", "284882218"],
  "country": "us",
  "maxAppsPerDeveloper": 200,
  "includeSummary": true
}
```

### Do you need an API key? No. Is there a free tier? Yes.

The two things people search for in this category, measured, are **free** and
**API key**: `app store developer api`, `app store connect developer api`.

So, plainly:

- **No API key.** Nothing to register for, nothing to rotate, no key to leak in
  a repo. The source is a public API published deliberately by its owner.
- **No proxy setup.** The source does not bot-wall datacenter addresses, so the
  default works.
- **Pay per result, not per month.** There is no subscription and no minimum.
  Rows that error or that your filters drop are **not charged**.
- **Free to try.** Run it with the prefilled input and see real rows before
  deciding anything.

### What you get per app

`title` · `appId` · `bundleId` · `rating` + `ratingCount` · `price` + `currency` · `isFree` · `genre` + `genres` · `version` · `releaseDate` · `updatedAt` · `contentRating` · `minimumOsVersion` · `sizeBytes` · `icon` · `screenshots` · `languages` · `sellerUrl` · `url` · `description`

### Use cases

- **Competitor research**: see a rival's whole catalogue, not just their flagship
- **Portfolio benchmarking**: compare publishers by total ratings and weighted rating
- **M\&A / diligence**: size up a studio's output and update cadence
- **ASO**: find which categories a successful publisher keeps shipping into
- **Lead generation**: find studios building in your niche

### Notes

- Built on **Apple's official iTunes API**, no key, no bot wall, stable by construction.
- **A misspelled developer name fails loudly** with the closest match named, rather than silently returning an unrelated publisher's catalogue. Those error rows are never charged.
- **Google Play is not included.** Its developer pages return 404/400 for both the numeric and named URL forms, so there is no clean public source. Better omitted than half-working.
- Apple serves up to 200 apps per publisher.

### The rest of this set

Four Actors over the same two stores, each answering a different question:

- **[App Store & Google Play Scraper](https://apify.com/glitchbound/app-store-scraper)**: the app itself: ratings, price, metadata
- **[App Store Top Charts Scraper](https://apify.com/glitchbound/app-charts-scraper)**: what is ranking today, by country and category
- **[App Store & Google Play Reviews Scraper](https://apify.com/glitchbound/app-reviews-scraper)**: every review for an app, both stores

# Actor input Schema

## `developers` (type: `array`):

Publisher names or Apple artist IDs, one per line. Names are resolved automatically: "Spotify", "Duolingo" and "284882218" all work.

## `country` (type: `string`):

Two-letter App Store country code (us, gb, de, jp, il...). A publisher's catalogue and pricing differ per storefront.

## `maxAppsPerDeveloper` (type: `integer`):

Upper limit of apps returned per publisher (Apple serves up to 200). The form is prefilled with 50 so a first run costs cents; the cap when this field is left out entirely is 200.

## `includeSummary` (type: `boolean`):

Adds one summary row per developer: total apps, total ratings, weighted average rating, free vs paid split, top genres and most-rated app. This is the fastest way to size up a competitor.

## `proxyConfiguration` (type: `object`):

Proxy settings.

## `maxItems` (type: `integer`):

A hard ceiling on rows for the entire run, across every target. The per-target limits above cap each one separately, so fifty targets at twenty each is still a thousand rows; this caps the total. The run stops cleanly when it is reached and nothing beyond that point is fetched or charged. Leave empty for no ceiling.

## Actor input object example

```json
{
  "developers": [
    "Duolingo"
  ],
  "country": "us",
  "maxAppsPerDeveloper": 50,
  "includeSummary": true,
  "proxyConfiguration": {
    "useApifyProxy": true
  }
}
```

# Actor output Schema

## `results` (type: `string`):

Every app published by a developer, plus portfolio-level statistics.
