## Pricing

from $2.00 / 1,000 pins

This Actor is paid per event. You are not charged for the Apify platform usage, but only a fixed price for specific events.
Since this Actor supports Apify Store discounts, the price gets lower the higher subscription plan you have.

## What's an Apify Actor?

Actors are web data automations that power AI and operations. They run on the Apify platform to scrape websites, process data, connect APIs, and automate workflows.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.
Actors are written with capital "A".

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.
The best way to integrate Actors is as follows.

- **AI agents and MCP clients** — the [Apify MCP server](https://docs.apify.com/integrations/mcp.md) at `https://mcp.apify.com` (remote, streamable HTTP, OAuth on first use).
- **Agentic workflows and local Actor development** — [Agent Skills](https://apify.com/.well-known/agent-skills/index.json) with the [Apify CLI](https://docs.apify.com/cli/docs.md): `npm install -g apify-cli`, then `apify login`.
- **JavaScript/TypeScript projects** — the official [JS/TS client](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md): `npm install apify-client`.
- **Python projects** — the official [Python client](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md): `pip install apify-client`.
- **Any other language** — the [REST API](https://docs.apify.com/api/v2.md).

For usage examples, see the [API](#api) section below.

# README

## Pinterest Scraper

Extract Pinterest pins in bulk by pin URL, keyword, board, or username. No Pinterest account, no API key, and no login required.

The scraper returns a clean, consistent record for every pin: image and video URLs, title, description, outbound link, board, pinner, engagement stats, and creation date.

### What it does

Give it any mix of four source types and it walks each one for you, paginating until it reaches your per-source cap:

- **Pin detail** - hand it a pin URL or ID and get the full pin record.
- **Keyword search** - search any term and collect matching pins.
- **Board pins** - point it at a board URL and pull that board's pins.
- **User pins** - give it a username and pull that profile's pins.

### Input

| Field | Type | Description |
|---|---|---|
| `pinUrls` | array | Pin links or numeric IDs. `https://www.pinterest.com/pin/1234567890/` or `1234567890`. |
| `searchQueries` | array | Keywords to search. Example: `home office setup`. |
| `boardUrls` | array | Board links. Example: `https://www.pinterest.com/example_user/home-office-ideas/`. |
| `usernames` | array | Profile handles. Example: `example_user`. |
| `maxItemsPerSource` | integer | Cap on pins per source (per query, board, or username). Default 100. |
| `concurrency` | integer | How many sources to scrape in parallel. Default 5. |
| `proxyConfig` | object | Apify proxy. RESIDENTIAL is the default and recommended option. |

Provide at least one of `pinUrls`, `searchQueries`, `boardUrls`, or `usernames`.

#### Example input

```json
{
  "searchQueries": ["home office setup", "minimalist kitchen"],
  "boardUrls": ["https://www.pinterest.com/example_user/home-office-ideas/"],
  "usernames": ["example_user"],
  "maxItemsPerSource": 100,
  "concurrency": 5,
  "proxyConfig": { "useApifyProxy": true, "apifyProxyGroups": ["RESIDENTIAL"] }
}
```

### Output

Each pin is one dataset record with this stable shape:

```json
{
  "ok": true,
  "source": "search",
  "query": "home office setup",
  "id": "1234567890",
  "url": "https://www.pinterest.com/pin/1234567890/",
  "title": "Sleek desk setup for a modern home office",
  "description": "Compact, stylish workspace inspiration.",
  "imageUrl": "https://i.pinimg.com/originals/aa/bb/cc/example.png",
  "videoUrl": null,
  "dominantColor": "#80644e",
  "link": "https://example.com/article",
  "board": { "id": "987654321", "name": "Home office ideas" },
  "pinner": { "username": "example_user", "fullName": "Jane Doe" },
  "stats": { "saves": 42, "comments": 3, "reactions": 12 },
  "createdAt": "2026-05-29T21:04:57.000Z"
}
```

Every field is always present. Unknown values are `null`.

### Use cases

- Build mood boards and design inspiration datasets from search terms.
- Track a board or profile's pins over time.
- Collect product pins and their outbound links for ecommerce research.
- Analyze visual trends by dominant color, title, and engagement.

### Notes

- Pins that cannot be reached are returned with `ok: false` and a short reason (`not_found`, `upstream_unavailable`, `upstream_rate_limit`, or `login_required`) so a partial run never silently drops a source.
- RESIDENTIAL proxy is strongly recommended for reliable results at scale.

### Pricing

This actor uses pay per event:

- **pin** - charged per pin returned. No run start fee, you pay only for the pins you get.

### FAQ

#### Do I need a Pinterest account or API key?

No. This actor reads public Pinterest content without any login or API key.

#### What can it scrape?

Pins by URL, keyword search results, a board's pins, and a user's pins, with images, titles, links, and stats.

#### How many pins can I get?

You set the limit with maxItemsPerSource. The actor walks pagination until your maximum is reached.

#### Can it scrape secret or private boards?

No. Only public pins and boards are supported.

#### Can I export the data?

Yes. Results export to JSON, CSV, Excel, or your own integrations.

To improve our actors we collect anonymized usage telemetry (run stats and input patterns). No personal account data is collected.

# Actor input Schema

## `pinUrls` (type: `array`):

Specific pin links or numeric IDs to fetch. Either form works: https://www.pinterest.com/pin/1234567890/ or 1234567890.

## `searchQueries` (type: `array`):

Keywords to search pins for. Example: home office setup, minimalist kitchen.

## `boardUrls` (type: `array`):

Board links to pull pins from. Example: https://www.pinterest.com/example\_user/home-office-ideas/.

## `usernames` (type: `array`):

Profile handles to pull pins from. Example: example\_user.

## `maxItemsPerSource` (type: `integer`):

Cap on pins returned per source (per query, board, or username). Pages are walked until this cap is reached or the source is exhausted.

## `concurrency` (type: `integer`):

How many sources to scrape in parallel. Default 5. Higher = faster but more proxy load.

## `proxyConfig` (type: `object`):

Apify proxy. RESIDENTIAL is the default and recommended option for the most reliable results.

```json
  "pinUrls": [],
  "searchQueries": [
    "home office setup"
  ],
    ]
  }
}
