## What's an Apify Actor?

Actors are web data automations that power AI and operations. They run on the Apify platform to scrape websites, process data, connect APIs, and automate workflows.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.
Actors are written with capital "A".

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.
The best way to integrate Actors is as follows.

- **AI agents and MCP clients** — the [Apify MCP server](https://docs.apify.com/integrations/mcp.md) at `https://mcp.apify.com` (remote, streamable HTTP, OAuth on first use).
- **Agentic workflows and local Actor development** — [Agent Skills](https://apify.com/.well-known/agent-skills/index.json) with the [Apify CLI](https://docs.apify.com/cli/docs.md): `npm install -g apify-cli`, then `apify login`.
- **JavaScript/TypeScript projects** — the official [JS/TS client](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md): `npm install apify-client`.
- **Python projects** — the official [Python client](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md): `pip install apify-client`.
- **Any other language** — the [REST API](https://docs.apify.com/api/v2.md).

For usage examples, see the [API](#api) section below.

## ABU Games Scraper - MTG Prices & Buylist

Scrape [ABU Games](https://abugames.com) for Magic: The Gathering singles (and other tabletop game products). ABU Games is one of the few retailers that publishes **both** a retail sell price and a **buylist** (sell-to-them) price for every card, per condition — a distinct arbitrage/buylist signal you can't get from most stores.

### What you get

For every card printing / condition SKU that matches your search:

- **name** — card name (e.g. "Ragavan, Nimble Pilferer (Serial Numbered) - FOIL")
- **setName** — Magic edition / set
- **rarity** — Common / Uncommon / Rare / Mythic Rare, etc.
- **condition** — MINT / NM / SP / PLD / HP
- **foil** / **cardStyle** — foil flag and style (Normal / Foil / Etched, etc.)
- **language** — English, Japanese, Chinese Simplified, …
- **retailPrice** — the price ABU Games sells the card for
- **buylistCashPrice** — what ABU Games pays you in cash
- **buylistCreditPrice** — what ABU Games pays you in store credit
- **buylistQuantityWanted** — how many copies they currently want to buy
- **quantity** / **inStock** — stock available
- **cardNumber, cardType, color, manaCost, artist**
- **image** — product image URL
- **url** — link to the product page
- **searchQuery, source, scrapedAt**

Each record is one condition of one printing, so you can compare NM vs SP vs HP pricing and cash vs credit buylist offers directly.

### Input

```json
{
  "searchQueries": ["ragavan", "black lotus"],
  "category": "Magic the Gathering Singles",
  "maxItems": 100,
  "onlyInStock": false,
  "onlyWithBuylist": false
}
```

| Field | Description |
|-------|-------------|
| `searchQueries` | Card names to search. |
| `category` | Product category (`Magic the Gathering Singles`, `Magic the Gathering Tokens`, `Magic the Gathering Sealed Product`, `Table Top Games`, `Gaming Supplies`, `Specialty Items`, or `all`). |
| `maxItems` | Max records per query (default 100). |
| `onlyInStock` | Only return records with stock available. |
| `onlyWithBuylist` | Only return records with a buylist cash/credit price. |

### Example use cases

- **Buylist arbitrage** — find cards where ABU's buylist cash price beats another store's sell price.
- **Collection valuation** — get cash-out and store-credit values for your cards by condition.
- **Price monitoring** — track retail and buylist movement over time.

Data comes from ABU Games' public search index. Please use responsibly and respect their Terms of Service.

# Actor input Schema

## `searchQueries` (type: `array`):

Card names to search on ABU Games (e.g. 'ragavan', 'black lotus', 'sol ring'). Each query returns matching singles with retail sell price and buylist prices per condition.

## `category` (type: `string`):

Product category to search. Use 'all' to search everything ABU Games sells.

## `maxItems` (type: `integer`):

Maximum number of records (condition/printing SKUs) to return per search query. Each card printing has one record per condition.

## `onlyInStock` (type: `boolean`):

Only return records that currently have stock available for purchase.

## `onlyWithBuylist` (type: `boolean`):

Only return records where ABU Games lists a buylist (sell-to-them) cash or store-credit price.

## `proxyConfiguration` (type: `object`):

Proxy settings. ABU Games' search API is open and usually works without a proxy; enable Apify Proxy only if you hit rate limits.
