## Pricing

Pay per usage

This Actor is paid per platform usage. The Actor is free to use, and you only pay for the Apify platform usage, which gets cheaper the higher subscription plan you have.

## What's an Apify Actor?

Actors are web data automations that power AI and operations. They run on the Apify platform to scrape websites, process data, connect APIs, and automate workflows.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.
Actors are written with capital "A".

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.
The best way to integrate Actors is as follows.

- **AI agents and MCP clients** — the [Apify MCP server](https://docs.apify.com/integrations/mcp.md) at `https://mcp.apify.com` (remote, streamable HTTP, OAuth on first use).
- **Agentic workflows and local Actor development** — [Agent Skills](https://apify.com/.well-known/agent-skills/index.json) with the [Apify CLI](https://docs.apify.com/cli/docs.md): `npm install -g apify-cli`, then `apify login`.
- **JavaScript/TypeScript projects** — the official [JS/TS client](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md): `npm install apify-client`.
- **Python projects** — the official [Python client](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md): `pip install apify-client`.
- **Any other language** — the [REST API](https://docs.apify.com/api/v2.md).

For usage examples, see the [API](#api) section below.

## Skip Link Auditor

Skip Link Auditor checks one public web page for keyboard skip-link accessibility readiness and returns structured JSON for launch QA, template monitoring, and accessibility reporting. It detects likely skip links, verifies fragment targets, and flags links that appear too late in the document.

### Use cases

- Validate landing pages before launch.
- Monitor CMS templates after theme or navigation changes.
- Add a focused keyboard accessibility check to agency reporting.
- Feed skip-link checks into dashboards and QA pipelines.

### Input

| Field | Type | Required | Description |
| --- | --- | --- | --- |
| `startUrl` | string | yes | Public HTTP or HTTPS page URL to audit. Credentials and private network targets are rejected. |
| `timeoutSeconds` | integer | no | Request timeout from 3 to 30 seconds. Defaults to 10. |
| `maxLinks` | integer | no | Maximum matching skip links to include in the output. Defaults to 20. |

### Output

The actor pushes one dataset item per run.

| Field | Type | Description |
| --- | --- | --- |
| `inputUrl` | string | Original URL provided by the user. |
| `normalizedInputUrl` | string | URL after adding a default HTTPS scheme when omitted. |
| `finalUrl` | string | Final URL after safe redirects. |
| `status` | integer or null | HTTP response status. |
| `ok` | boolean | True when the page fetch returned a 2xx or 3xx-safe response without fetch errors. |
| `checkedAt` | string | ISO timestamp for the audit. |
| `skipLinkCount` | integer | Number of likely skip links found. |
| `links` | array | Matching skip links with text, href, target id, target existence, and early-placement flag. |
| `hasWorkingSkipLink` | boolean | True when at least one likely skip link points to an existing element id. |
| `hasEarlySkipLink` | boolean | True when at least one likely skip link appears near the start of the HTML. |
| `score` | integer | Accessibility readiness score from 0 to 100. |
| `grade` | string | Letter grade from A to F. |
| `issues` | array | Problems found. |
| `recommendations` | array | Suggested fixes. |
| `error` | string or null | Fetch or validation error, if any. |

### Example input

```json
{
  "startUrl": "https://example.com/product",
  "timeoutSeconds": 10,
  "maxLinks": 20
}
```

### Example output

```json
{
  "inputUrl": "https://example.com/product",
  "normalizedInputUrl": "https://example.com/product",
  "finalUrl": "https://example.com/product",
  "status": 200,
  "ok": true,
  "checkedAt": "2026-07-17T00:00:00.000Z",
  "skipLinkCount": 1,
  "links": [
    {
      "text": "Skip to main content",
      "href": "#main",
      "targetId": "main",
      "targetExists": true,
      "appearsEarly": true
    }
  ],
  "hasWorkingSkipLink": true,
  "hasEarlySkipLink": true,
  "score": 100,
  "grade": "A",
  "issues": [],
  "recommendations": [],
  "error": null
}
```

### Security

Only public HTTP and HTTPS URLs are accepted. The actor rejects URL credentials, localhost, private IPv4 ranges, private IPv6 ranges, and hostnames that resolve to private addresses. Redirect targets are revalidated before following. It does not require login credentials and does not collect private data.

### Pricing

| Event | Suggested price |
| --- | ---: |
| Actor start | $0.005 |
| Page audited | $0.01 |

A typical single-page audit costs about $0.015 before platform fees.

### FAQ

#### Does this crawl a whole site?

No. It audits one page per run. Use a scheduler or URL list wrapper if you need batch checks.

#### Does it execute JavaScript?

No. It reads the returned HTML. This keeps the actor fast, cheap, and predictable.

#### Is this a full WCAG audit?

No. It is a focused skip-link check. Use a full accessibility scanner when you need complete WCAG coverage.

#### What is the keep metric?

Keep if it gets organic Store impressions, runs, revenue, or inbound questions within 60 to 90 days. Improve listing or pricing if impressions arrive without runs. Archive if it gets no discovery and no usage.
