## Care Facility Ratings Scraper (CMS)

Medicare's official quality ratings for US care facilities - nursing homes, hospitals and home health agencies - as structured data. The star ratings and inspection records behind Medicare's Care Compare tool, searchable by name, state or city in bulk. No API key, no login, no browser.

### What you get

One row per facility:

- name, CMS certification number, full address, city, state, ZIP, county
- **overall star rating** (1 to 5)
- for **nursing homes**: health-inspection rating, staffing rating, quality-measure rating, certified beds, average residents per day, total fines in dollars, ownership
- for **hospitals**: overall rating, hospital type, emergency services, ownership
- for **home health agencies**: quality-of-patient-care star rating, ownership

- Ratings and deficiencies are regulatory history, not a statement about current care on any given day.

## `facilityType` (type: `string`):

Which kind of Medicare-certified facility to look up. Nursing homes carry the fullest ratings (overall, health inspection, staffing, quality).

## `facilityName` (type: `string`):

Filter to facilities whose name contains this text. Partial, case-insensitive. Leave empty to sweep by state.

## `state` (type: `string`):

Two-letter state code ("CA", "TX"). Use alone to pull a whole state, or with a name/city.

## `city` (type: `string`):

Filter to one city (exact, case-insensitive). Optional.

## `minRating` (type: `string`):

Only facilities with at least this overall star rating (1 to 5). Leave as Any for all.

## `maxRows` (type: `integer`):

Stop after this many facilities.
