**What companies does the RUES registry cover?**\
RUES is the unified business registry for all of Colombia, consolidating data from every chamber of commerce in the country. It covers more than 1.8 million active companies plus cancelled and inactive registrations, including SAS, limited companies, sole proprietorships, branches, and agencies.
**Can I search by NIT tax-ID or only by company name?**\
Both. Enter a numeric NIT and the scraper looks up that exact tax-ID; enter text and it searches by legal name. You can mix names and NITs in a single run by adding multiple search terms.
**How many results can I get per search term?**\
The RUES search returns up to 500 matches per term, and the scraper paginates automatically. Use the Max Items input to cap the total, or raise it to collect every match across all of your terms.
**What is the difference between the basic and full-detail output?**\
The basic run returns identity and location fields straight from search. Turn on Fetch Full Details and the scraper pulls each company's complete registry record, adding the activity descriptions, renewal and validity dates, category, and acronym.
**Why are some contact fields like address or phone missing?**\
The public RUES API does not expose commercial address, phone, or email; that information is only available on paid official certificates. The scraper ships only the fields the registry publishes openly, so those private fields are intentionally omitted.
