## What's an Apify Actor?

Actors are web data automations that power AI and operations. They run on the Apify platform to scrape websites, process data, connect APIs, and automate workflows.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.
Actors are written with capital "A".

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.
The best way to integrate Actors is as follows.

- **AI agents and MCP clients** — the [Apify MCP server](https://docs.apify.com/integrations/mcp.md) at `https://mcp.apify.com` (remote, streamable HTTP, OAuth on first use).
- **Agentic workflows and local Actor development** — [Agent Skills](https://apify.com/.well-known/agent-skills/index.json) with the [Apify CLI](https://docs.apify.com/cli/docs.md): `npm install -g apify-cli`, then `apify login`.
- **JavaScript/TypeScript projects** — the official [JS/TS client](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md): `npm install apify-client`.
- **Python projects** — the official [Python client](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md): `pip install apify-client`.
- **Any other language** — the [REST API](https://docs.apify.com/api/v2.md).

For usage examples, see the [API](#api) section below.

# README

## Antonioli Scraper

Scrape the full product catalog of [Antonioli.eu](https://www.antonioli.eu) — the Italian multi-brand luxury boutique carrying Rick Owens, Stone Island, Jil Sander, Uma Wang, Thom Krom, and dozens of other designer labels. No cookies or login required.

### Why use this actor?

Antonioli's storefront doesn't publish a machine-readable feed, but the underlying Shopify platform exposes a public `products.json` endpoint with every product, variant, price, and stock level. This actor pulls that feed and does the work a raw JSON dump never does: it extracts the manufacturer's own style code from Antonioli's supplier tags, normalizes it, and structures the catalog into a clean, joinable dataset.

Luxury fashion has no EAN/barcode standard across retailers — the manufacturer style code (the same code on the garment's hangtag) is the only reliable way to match the same physical product across different shops. This actor surfaces that code directly, rather than Antonioli's own internal SKU (which is an unrelated numeric barcode).

### Features

- **Full-catalog scraping** — pages through `products.json` until the feed is exhausted
- **Manufacturer style-code extraction** — pulled from Antonioli's own `supplier-code` product tag (confirmed 99.9%+ coverage across the catalog), normalized to uppercase alphanumeric, with the raw form and length always included
- **Structured composition + country of origin** — parsed from Antonioli's own `details` tag (country, material composition, and code, pipe-delimited)
- **Per-size stock ladder** — every size with its own SKU, price, and stock status
- **Nullable 3-state availability** — `inStock` / `outOfStock` / `null` when the signal is genuinely unknown, never silently coerced to false
- **Fast, API-based** — no HTML parsing, no browser, no anti-bot fight
- **Residential proxy by default** — Shopify rate-limits Apify's shared datacenter IPs; this actor defaults to residential proxy to run reliably

### Input

| Field | Type | Required | Description |
|-------|------|----------|-------------|
| `maxResults` | Integer | No | Maximum number of products to return (default: 500) |
| `proxyConfiguration` | Object | No | Proxy settings. Defaults to Apify Residential (Italy) — required for reliable runs, see Limitations |

Leave the input empty (`{}`) to pull a 500-product slice using the defaults above.

### Output

Each result contains:

| Field | Type | Example |
|-------|------|---------|
| `brand` | String | `"STONE ISLAND"` |
| `productName` | String | `"4100010 Short Parka Jacket"` |
| `styleCode` | String | null | `"4100010S0A26V0078"` |
| `styleCodeRaw` | String | null | `"4100010S0A26 V0078"` |
| `styleCodeLength` | Integer | null | `18` |
| `styleCodeIsFull` | Boolean | `true` |
| `price` | Number | null | `850` |
| `currency` | String | `"EUR"` |
| `availability` | String | null | `"inStock"` |
| `sizes` | Array | Per-size stock ladder: `{size, sku, price, inStock}` |
| `composition` | String | null | `"94% Viscose 6% Elastane"` |
| `countryOfOrigin` | String | null | `"Turkey"` |
| `imageUrl` | String | null | Primary product image URL |
| `productUrl` | String | Full product page URL |
| `isPreOwned` | Boolean | Always `false` — Antonioli sells new goods only |
| `source` | String | `"antonioli.eu"` |
| `scrapedAt` | String | ISO 8601 timestamp |

### Cost estimate

This actor scrapes roughly 250 products per request against Shopify's native JSON API — no HTML parsing, no browser. A full catalog scrape (~4,500-5,000 products) uses well under 0.1 compute units and completes in under a minute.

### How to scrape Antonioli data

1. Go to this actor's page on the [Apify Store](https://apify.com/store).
2. Click **Try for free** to open it in Apify Console.
3. Set `maxResults` (leave the default for a quick sample, or raise it to pull the full catalog), and leave the proxy settings on their default.
4. Click **Start** and wait for the run to finish — a full catalog run typically finishes in under a minute.
5. Download your data in JSON, CSV, Excel, or connect it to your workflow via API.

You can also schedule regular runs to track price and stock changes over time, set up webhooks for real-time notifications, or integrate the results directly into your application using the [Apify API](https://docs.apify.com/api).

### How it works

Antonioli, like many designer boutiques, runs on Shopify. The storefront doesn't expose these details in its UI, but Shopify's platform-level `products.json` endpoint is public by default and returns full product records including every tag Antonioli attaches in its product-management system — among them the two tags this actor relies on:

- `supplier-code_<code>` — the manufacturer's own style code, exactly as printed on the garment's tag
- `details_<country>|<composition>|<code>` — country of manufacture and material composition, pipe-delimited

The actor pages through `products.json?limit=250&page=N` until an empty page signals the end of the catalog, extracts and normalizes the style code from the supplier tag, and pushes one record per product (with the full per-size stock ladder nested inside).

### Limitations

- Shopify's products.json endpoint hard-caps at 250 items per page regardless of a higher `limit=` parameter — the actor accounts for this and paginates accordingly.
- Shopify rate-limits repeated requests from the same IP (observed live: 429s on Apify's shared datacenter proxy pool, even though Antonioli itself has no anti-bot protection). The actor retries with exponential backoff and defaults to residential proxy to avoid this.
- Data is scraped from the public feed and may change without notice; prices and stock reflect the moment of the run.
- `composition` and `countryOfOrigin` depend on Antonioli's own tagging being complete — coverage is very high (>99% observed) but not contractually guaranteed for every product.

### Related scrapers

Studio AMBA runs a wider fleet of European fashion and marketplace scrapers, including [Biffi Scraper](https://apify.com/studio-amba/biffi-scraper) and [Nugnes1920 Scraper](https://apify.com/studio-amba/nugnes-scraper) — two more Italian multi-brand luxury boutiques with the same normalized style-code output, so results join cleanly across all three.

# Actor input Schema

## `maxResults` (type: `integer`):

Maximum number of products to return. Leave at the default to pull a representative slice; raise it (up to ~4,500) for a full-catalog run.

## `proxyConfiguration` (type: `object`):

Antonioli has no WAF/anti-bot, but Shopify rate-limits Apify's shared datacenter proxy pool by IP (verified live: consistent 429s on both no-proxy and default datacenter proxy). Residential proxy is required for reliable runs.

## Actor input object example

```json
{
  "maxResults": 20,
  "proxyConfiguration": {
    "useApifyProxy": true,
    "apifyProxyGroups": [
      "RESIDENTIAL"
    ],
    "apifyProxyCountry": "IT"
  }
}
```
