## What's an Apify Actor?

Actors are web data automations that power AI and operations. They run on the Apify platform to scrape websites, process data, connect APIs, and automate workflows.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.
Actors are written with capital "A".

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.
The best way to integrate Actors is as follows.

- **AI agents and MCP clients** — the [Apify MCP server](https://docs.apify.com/integrations/mcp.md) at `https://mcp.apify.com` (remote, streamable HTTP, OAuth on first use).
- **Agentic workflows and local Actor development** — [Agent Skills](https://apify.com/.well-known/agent-skills/index.json) with the [Apify CLI](https://docs.apify.com/cli/docs.md): `npm install -g apify-cli`, then `apify login`.
- **JavaScript/TypeScript projects** — the official [JS/TS client](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md): `npm install apify-client`.
- **Python projects** — the official [Python client](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md): `pip install apify-client`.
- **Any other language** — the [REST API](https://docs.apify.com/api/v2.md).

For usage examples, see the [API](#api) section below.

# README

## TeePublic Creator Store Scraper

> **Note on Spring/Teespring:** Spring (formerly Teespring) shut down in 2023.
> This actor targets **TeePublic** (teepublic.com), the active print-on-demand
> marketplace for independent creators. The directory is named
> `spring-creator-merch-scraper` for continuity.

Scrapes complete creator storefronts from TeePublic — profile metadata and
all designs (t-shirts, hoodies, stickers, mugs, phone cases, and more).
No login required.

### Input

| Field | Type | Default | Description |
|---|---|---|---|
| `creators` | string\[] | — | TeePublic usernames or full store URLs |
| `includeProducts` | bool | `true` | Include the full design list |
| `maxPages` | int | `0` | Max pages per creator (`0` = unlimited) |
| `maxConcurrency` | int | `3` | Parallel creator fetches |
| `proxyConfiguration` | object | Apify default | Proxy settings |

**Example input:**

```json
{
  "creators": ["nathanwpyle", "https://www.teepublic.com/user/adamtots"],
  "includeProducts": true,
  "maxPages": 0,
  "maxConcurrency": 3
}
```

### Output

One dataset record per creator:

```jsonc
{
  "url": "https://www.teepublic.com/user/nathanwpyle",
  "username": "nathanwpyle",
  "creator_name": "Nathan W. Pyle",
  "followers": 0,
  "following": 1,
  "total_designs_stat": 13,
  "design_count": 13,
  "pages_fetched": 1,
  "products": [
    {
      "design_id": "90657393",
      "slug": "mmama-floral-shirt-cute-mom-gift-sweatshirt-vintag",
      "title": "MMama Floral Shirt, Cute Mom Gift Sweatshirt...",
      "product_type": "t-shirt",
      "store_id": "4394049",
      "image_url": "https://images.teepublic.com/derived/production/designs/...",
      "url": "https://www.teepublic.com/t-shirt/90657393-mmama-floral-shirt-...",
      "sale_price": 16.0,
      "regular_price": 24.0,
      "tags": null
    }
  ]
}
```

### How it works

TeePublic renders store pages server-side. The actor:

1. Fetches `/user/<username>?page=N` with a browser-like User-Agent
2. Parses HTML with **selectolax** (fast CSS selector engine)
3. Extracts product links matching `/PRODUCT_TYPE/DESIGN_ID-SLUG`
4. Paginates until no further pages are detected
5. Merges all pages into one creator record

Designs are deduplicated across pages by `design_id`.

# Actor input Schema

## `creators` (type: `array`):

List of TeePublic usernames or full store URLs (e.g. "nathanwpyle" or "https://www.teepublic.com/user/nathanwpyle"). Each yields one result with the creator profile and all their designs.

## `includeProducts` (type: `boolean`):

Include the full product/design list for each creator. Disable to return profile metadata only.

## `maxPages` (type: `integer`):

Maximum number of store pages to fetch per creator (each page has up to 48 designs). Set to 0 for unlimited.

## `maxConcurrency` (type: `integer`):

How many creator stores to scrape in parallel.

## `proxyConfiguration` (type: `object`):

Proxy used for outbound requests. TeePublic serves HTML pages; using Apify Proxy residential pool improves reliability.

## Actor input object example

```json
{
  "creators": [
    "nathanwpyle"
  ],
  "includeProducts": true,
  "maxPages": 0,
  "maxConcurrency": 3,
  "proxyConfiguration": {
    "useApifyProxy": true,
    "apifyProxyGroups": []
  }
}
```

## JavaScript example

```javascript
import { ApifyClient } from 'apify-client';
// Initialize the ApifyClient with your Apify API token
// Replace the '<YOUR_API_TOKEN>' with your token
const client = new ApifyClient({
    token: '<YOUR_API_TOKEN>',
});
// Prepare Actor input
const input = {
    "creators": [
        "nathanwpyle"
    ]
};
// Run the Actor and wait for it to finish
const run = await client.actor("vsekar91/teepublic-creator-scraper").call(input);
// Fetch and print Actor results from the run's dataset (if any)
console.log('Results from dataset');
console.log(`💾 Check your data here: https://console.apify.com/storage/datasets/${run.defaultDatasetId}`);
const { items } = await client.dataset(run.defaultDatasetId).listItems();
items.forEach((item) => {
