## Pricing

Pay per usage

This Actor is paid per platform usage. The Actor is free to use, and you only pay for the Apify platform usage, which gets cheaper the higher subscription plan you have.

## What's an Apify Actor?

Actors are web data automations that power AI and operations. They run on the Apify platform to scrape websites, process data, connect APIs, and automate workflows.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.
Actors are written with capital "A".

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.
The best way to integrate Actors is as follows.

- **AI agents and MCP clients** — the [Apify MCP server](https://docs.apify.com/integrations/mcp.md) at `https://mcp.apify.com` (remote, streamable HTTP, OAuth on first use).
- **Agentic workflows and local Actor development** — [Agent Skills](https://apify.com/.well-known/agent-skills/index.json) with the [Apify CLI](https://docs.apify.com/cli/docs.md): `npm install -g apify-cli`, then `apify login`.
- **JavaScript/TypeScript projects** — the official [JS/TS client](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md): `npm install apify-client`.
- **Python projects** — the official [Python client](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md): `pip install apify-client`.
- **Any other language** — the [REST API](https://docs.apify.com/api/v2.md).

For usage examples, see the [API](#api) section below.

# README

## Shopify Review Scraper

This Actor detects and scrapes Shopify review platforms without Playwright or Selenium. It accepts one or more store domains or URLs and currently supports:

- Okendo
- Yotpo v1 and v3
- Judge.me
- Stamped.io
- TestFreaks
- Junip

### Input

Use `storeDomains` for one or more domains or full URLs:

```json
{
  "storeDomains": ["snif.co", "drsquatch.com"],
  "mode": "fast",
  "maxReviews": 25,
  "outputFormat": "dataset"
}
```

### Output

Review rows are pushed to the default Dataset when `outputFormat` is `dataset` or `both`. The `OUTPUT` key in the default Key-Value Store contains a run summary for every requested store. When `outputFormat` is `files` or `both`, per-store JSON/CSV files are also stored in the Key-Value Store.

### Local Run

From this `apify` folder:

```powershell
apify run --purge
```

The sample local input is in `storage/key_value_stores/default/INPUT.json`.

# Actor input Schema

## `storeDomains` (type: `array`):

Enter one or more Shopify store domains or URLs. Examples: snif.co, drsquatch.com, https://truebotanicals.com

## `mode` (type: `string`):

Fast mode prioritizes speed with higher concurrency. Balanced mode is more conservative.

## `maxReviews` (type: `integer`):

Optional cap per store. Leave empty to scrape until platform pagination ends or maxPages is reached.

## `outputFormat` (type: `string`):

Dataset pushes review rows. Files stores JSON/CSV in key-value store. Both does both.

## `includeEmptyStatusItems` (type: `boolean`):

When enabled, stores with no collected reviews still add a status row to the dataset.

## `maxPages` (type: `integer`):

Hard pagination cap for provider APIs.

## `timeoutSeconds` (type: `integer`):

Per-request timeout in seconds.

## `retries` (type: `integer`):

Retry attempts per request.

## `delay` (type: `integer`):

Base delay between slower pagination requests in milliseconds.

## `globalInflight` (type: `integer`):

Maximum concurrent HTTP requests. Fast mode may tune this upward.

## `perHostInflight` (type: `integer`):

Maximum concurrent HTTP requests per host. Fast mode may tune this upward.

## `maxJsFiles` (type: `integer`):

Upper bound for review-relevant JavaScript files fetched during detection.

## `detectionProductPages` (type: `integer`):

Number of product pages sampled during platform detection.

## `detectionMaxProductFetch` (type: `integer`):

Hard cap for product pages fetched during detection.

## `httpBackend` (type: `string`):

HTTP client backend.

## `parserBackend` (type: `string`):

HTML parser backend.

## `jsonBackend` (type: `string`):

JSON parser/serializer backend.

## `diskCacheEnabled` (type: `boolean`):

Cache HTTP responses within the current Actor run filesystem.

## `diskCacheTtlSeconds` (type: `integer`):

Time-to-live for cached responses.

## `memoryCacheEnabled` (type: `boolean`):

Cache duplicate HTTP requests in memory during each store run.

## JavaScript example

```javascript
import { ApifyClient } from 'apify-client';
// Initialize the ApifyClient with your Apify API token
// Replace the '<YOUR_API_TOKEN>' with your token
const client = new ApifyClient({
    token: '<YOUR_API_TOKEN>',
});
// Prepare Actor input
const input = {
    "storeDomains": [
    ]
};
// Run the Actor and wait for it to finish
const run = await client.actor("yogeshpandar/universal-shopify-review-scraper").call(input);
// Fetch and print Actor results from the run's dataset (if any)
console.log('Results from dataset');
