## What's an Apify Actor?

Actors are web data automations that power AI and operations. They run on the Apify platform to scrape websites, process data, connect APIs, and automate workflows.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.
Actors are written with capital "A".

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.
The best way to integrate Actors is as follows.

- **AI agents and MCP clients** — the [Apify MCP server](https://docs.apify.com/integrations/mcp.md) at `https://mcp.apify.com` (remote, streamable HTTP, OAuth on first use).
- **Agentic workflows and local Actor development** — [Agent Skills](https://apify.com/.well-known/agent-skills/index.json) with the [Apify CLI](https://docs.apify.com/cli/docs.md): `npm install -g apify-cli`, then `apify login`.
- **JavaScript/TypeScript projects** — the official [JS/TS client](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md): `npm install apify-client`.
- **Python projects** — the official [Python client](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md): `pip install apify-client`.
- **Any other language** — the [REST API](https://docs.apify.com/api/v2.md).

For usage examples, see the [API](#api) section below.

# README

### What does Boat24 Listings Scraper do?

**Boat24 Listings Scraper** extracts boat listings from [Boat24](https://www.boat24.com/fr/) search result pages - price, year, dimensions, engine details, location, and more. Give it a search or category URL and it paginates through result pages automatically. Running it on the Apify platform gets you scheduling, API access to results, proxy rotation, and monitoring out of the box.

### Why use Boat24 Listings Scraper?

- Track boat listings and price trends across France and Europe without manually browsing Boat24.
- Feed marine marketplace data into research, resale, or price-comparison tools.
- Monitor new listings for a boat type or region by scheduling recurring runs.

### How to use Boat24 Listings Scraper

1. Click **Try for free** (or **Start**) to open the Actor.
2. Paste one or more Boat24 search or category URLs into **Start URLs**, e.g. `https://www.boat24.com/fr/bateauxdoccasion/` (all used boats).
3. Make sure **Proxy configuration** uses a residential proxy (enabled by default) - Boat24 sits behind bot protection that can block requests that don't come through one.
4. Optionally adjust **Max items** to cap how many listings are scraped (defaults to 5, and the first 5 listings are free).
5. Click **Start** and wait for the run to finish, then open the **Dataset** tab to view, filter, and export the results.

### Cost estimation

This Actor uses pay-per-result pricing: the first 5 listings scraped are free, and usage beyond that is billed per listing. See the **Pricing** tab for current rates. Use **Max items** to scope smaller, cheaper runs.

### Tips

- **A residential proxy is required, not just recommended.** Boat24 sits behind bot protection that can block non-residential IPs, so runs without a residential proxy are more likely to fail.
- Scope `startUrls` to a specific boat type or category instead of the full marketplace to reduce run time and cost.

# Actor input Schema

## `startUrls` (type: `array`):

Boat24.com search or category URLs to scrape, e.g. https://www.boat24.com/fr/bateauxdoccasion/ (all used boats) or a specific category/type page.

## `maxItems` (type: `integer`):

Stop the run once this many listings have been scraped across all start URLs. The first 5 listings per month are free; scraping more is billed per listing.

## `proxyConfiguration` (type: `object`):

Boat24 sits behind Cloudflare, which can block non-residential IPs. A residential Apify Proxy is required for reliable results.
