The Alberta Referendum
Direct democracy in inaction
I’m trying to stay away from writing Medium articles. Each Medium article takes time and energy from writing the fifth version of Tiered Democratic Governance. Maybe this updated version will move the world forward. Writing about today’s issues has proven not likely to be a good use of my time. For some reason, I broke the promise I made to myself.
On October 19, Albertans will vote on 10 referendum resolutions. As much as I believe today’s political mechanisms are ineffective to go where we really need to go, I still take voting seriously.
