I have used AI to a limited extent. You may have seen some AI-generated cartoons I created. And in a nod to people constantly harping on typos, I use AI to proofread my pieces. Having said that, I think AI is coming for pretty much all of us. We will have to deal with it.
More jobs are at risk than we might have thought
At first, we may have thought just tech and computer-related jobs would be affected by AI, but it seems like that pool of jobs affected may be growing. At some point, look for panhandlers to use a bot to do their thing.
Are your intellectual properties safe?
Google reached a deal with Reddit for $60 million a year to use Reddit posts to train AI. It’s my understanding that writers got nothing. AI is scraping the internet for the same purpose. I’d like to see Medium state where it stands on this issue.
