Life can be messy, and I write about it. Travel, history, and life are my genres. I like to share my experiences although they can be messy.

When you first start writing, it is not as easy as people think making money. You must find your platform, your niche, and what you are good at.

The biggest thing you should do is communicate with other writers. I hear some say they do not have time. But this is a very important part of writing. I write in the mornings, do my daily stuff in the afternoon, and try to communicate at night. I am still trying to get a good schedule going.

This month, life sent me a curve ball. My mom had a tough surgery, and my sister and I had to step up. I was babysitting a lot because my mother could not keep our grandchild after school. Try writing with a five-year-old!

I have promised to get a newsletter out every Wednesday and I have not grasped that app completely.

So I encourage you today: do not give up if you go through a demanding spell. I am sure we all do. Keep your focus. Keep a notebook and start over if you do not finish your list. Do not sweat the small stuff.

I finally finished my first E-book. It took me forever because I used too many apps. Next time it will be Canva and Gumroad only. Now, I need to market it and talk about it.

If you love writing, don’t give up. Write every day about something.

If you love stories from yesterday, recipes, and herbal home remedies follow my newsletter at Substack at 5grandkids.substack.com.
