Ceridwen: Keeper of the Dark Womb Cauldron
The Scorpio New Moon and Ceridwen’s Cauldron of Awen
November brings the New Moon on the 9th, 2026, at 1:02 AM CST, Monday, starting the next 29.5-day lunar cycle.
“On the nights before and after a new moon, when just a thin crescent is present, it is sometimes possible to make out the stunning effect known as Earthshine, or Da Vinci glow.
During this time, it appears as though you can see the entire disk of the moon dimly illuminated with an almost bluish-gray glow, along with the brightly lit crescent. As such, the term Earthshine is sometimes referred to as the old moon in the new moon’s arms. The glow is produced by light from a fully illuminated Earth reflecting off the lunar surface.”
During the day before, Sunday, November 8th, we should tend to our seasonal altar, focusing on Ceridwen’s influence during this moon’s cycles. Do you have any cauldrun object or illustration for your altar? You can use the one I supplied in this article; it is a licensed illustration that I paid for personal use.
Ceridwen is an ancient Welsh and Celtic goddess of rebirth, transformation, and inspiration. Her influence peaks during November, expanding her magic to open our awareness to our inner world.
