Today marks a fantastic milestone — 30 years since Tha Dogg Pound, comprising the talented duo Daz and Kurupt, released their groundbreaking debut album, Dogg Food, on October 31, 1995. This exciting album showcases fantastic guest appearances from Snoop Doggy Dogg, Nate Dogg, Michel’le, The Lady of Rage, Tray Deee, and Mr. Malik! It includes three amazing singles: “Let’s Play House” featuring Michel’le and Nate Dogg, along with the powerful tracks “Respect” and “New York, New York” featuring Snoop Doggy Dogg. This classic rap album soared to number one on the Billboard 200 chart just a few weeks later, on November 18, selling an impressive 278,000 copies in its first week. With Daz Dillinger at the helm for production and the legendary Dr. Dre on mixing duties, Dogg Food not only showcased their incredible talent but also set the stage for Daz to shine as the leading producer at Death Row.

Dogg Food went on to sell more than two million copies.
