Chapter 1

It was 5:30 in the morning. The sun was rising high across the clouds, reaching every corner and space into the city. The wind was blowing hard, and the cold was present.

At the top of a city, there was a skyscraper, shining in the morning of the city through the sun rays… And there was Kim, a beautiful girl, dressed in a tight shirt and sport tights, both of them being black. The girl had a mask and glasses, both being black too, which both hid her face. The wind was blowing her purple long hair which was tied with a pigtail, letting the air guide her road.

The clock touched the 5:45 AM alarm, and Kim smiled, a pretty beautiful smile that contained so many expressions which couldn’t be expressed. That was Kim. But, the fun part is… She didn’t really care about that, it was her moment, her pleasure. It was Kim, and her song…

There were some tears traveling through the cheeks of the woman. They fell off into her tights, claiming the melody that just sang out. The sun started to shine brighter, as if answering to her unstable smile, drying her tears without even caring about anything else.

Then, out of nowhere, a clap sound suddenly broke the atmosphere.

???: “That was quite impressive Kim. Don’t you think so?”-The claps travelled through the roof. This broke the calm and impressive voice of Kim, who was gently sitting at the end of the roof, like she was almost at the ceiling of falling off the roof.- “Here, ain’t gonna do a lot of shit here.”- The man threw a card close to Kim, it seemed like a pretty formal card, seeming like a recommendation. Kim didn’t even dared to look at the card and just muffed its way through.-”It’s a recommendation card. You couldn’t get a bright future here, so just get the fuck out of this place, light up the world and…”-The man commanded the woman, treating her as if she were a mere tool, or perhaps delivering an ultimatum. Suddenly, it was intercepted by Kim.

Kim: “Why would I even do that?”- She asked, in response. Kim belonged to this place, it was her home, her history, her tales. It was her clouds, her fresh air, her sunrays…- “I belong to this town. To this place.”- The soft voice that was singing, now was just a broken and scattered voice.- “I can fly with him too… Just…”

???: “Kim.”-The man only said that name, but it felt like it was enough to silence the entire place, making Kim visibly flinch, giving her goosebumps. Then, he ordered.- “Just build up your way to the clouds from there.”-The man scoffed, like if it was sick, then, a sudden thud was heard from the direction of the voice. The man grumbled.-”You ain’t getting them here. Not in this place.”-A crackling sound could be heard, it was his knuckles cracking up.-”Don’t make me do it for you. Your brother wouldn’t like it.”

Kim:”…Alright. It ‘s fine.”-The woman was visibly shaken, only to then let out a deep sigh, standing up from the ceiling of the roof, giving up to a final view of the skyscraper highness. Then, as if nothing, she whipped up her tears and picked up the card. It had a red seal in it, the U.A logo.-”U.A High School?-The woman said both fascinated and disgusted. Then, she just sighed and let out a laugh to cover the mood.-”You couldn’t think of something better, old man?”- She opened the card, letting off what seemed like a formal paper.

Dear Esteemed Admissions Committee,

I, pro hero alias Clouds, i am writing to wholeheartedly recommend Kim Doe for admission into the prestigious Heroic Department at U.A. High School. Having observed her closely during her time at Cloud’s Department Records. I can attest to her exceptional potential, unwavering dedication, and the remarkable capabilities of her Quirk.

Kim had to read all of it to make sure what was really happening. His mouth opened, though it couldn’t be seen.

Kim:”You were really into it, huh?”- Her eyes flashy, passing through the text, only for her to laugh at it.-”You couldn’t have told more lies in this, didn’t you?”-She laughed, but it was a genuine laughter, one that the man couldn’t fight.-”Alright, Kumo. I’ll go and do some shit there.”-The woman turned off, but then stopped at the ceiling of the roof.-”Guess we… Uh… See later, maybe…”-Kim didn’t really know what to say. Was she nervous? Was she worried? It didn’t really matter at the end.-”I’ll be seeing you in the clouds.”-The woman jumped off the cliff, disappearing into the clouds, and the sun could’t shine brighter, as if happiness devoured every mood in the city. As if Kim started it’s way out to a brighter future.

As if Kim started it’s way out to the clouds.
