I Still Remember My First Week at University. How Did 14 Years Pass So Quickly?

I still remember my first week at university.

Everything was new. New faces, new classrooms, unfamiliar surroundings. I remember feeling that I was starting a completely different chapter of my life.

I didn't know many people back then. Like most new students, I was trying to understand the place, get comfortable, make friends, and slowly find my way around.

That was when I met someone who became my first university friend. I still remember him as T.K.

One day, during those early days, he said something that has stayed with me all these years.

"MAK, we have just entered university. Just wait and see, we won't even realize when these four years will be over."

I smiled when he said that. Four years sounded like a long time. We had only just started. There were so many lectures, exams, assignments, friendships, university events, and ordinary days waiting for us.

I couldn't imagine those four years passing quickly.

But T.K. was right.

Four years passed before we even realized it.

The students who were once trying to find their classrooms were suddenly getting ready to leave university and start another part…
