Kartini would be mad if she was still alive
April was a very chaotic and tragic month, especially for women in Indonesia. We celebrate Kartini’s day on April 21st. But, since the beginning of the month. We had a big case of verbal sexual harassment against a student, a lecturer, and their relatives. And the harassment is coming from a group chat full of boys. Since then, many cases have been viral. I am not going to lie; it scared me when I saw those cases. Because you never knew that you were also a victim in a men's group chat.
I just hope all men can learn about this. Because all of this happened since most of the people are now not afraid to speak their minds. Also, the era is different from the past.
Moving on…
My life is full of learning right now. I joined a class from Good News From Indonesia. I learned that their media writing style is so different from what I have been learning in college. I like it when I can learn from a one-on-one session. Because I can learn from the person who works there.

Other than that, I might decide to work on my second novel. Since I failed all the applications. I am not afraid to admit that. Because my parents are okay if I decide to continue the writer journey. I know it is not something that has a perfect pathway, but I just want to continue what I have started since my first novel as my final project in college.
A very big decision in a very hard situation.
Being a writer in Indonesia is a very challenging profession, especially for a book writer. You must be ready with the people who still normalize reading pirated books. It is all because book prices in Indonesia are very expensive to buy. That is why many people try to make a pirated version of the book and make it very cheap. The library is also not very accessible, and not many cities have a library to read some books or just sit and work.
I still believe that many Indonesians really love to read books. But the thing is, the government must make the public library very accessible and open a library for every school.
This month also my first time enjoying Coachella. I usually skipped it because of the artists' lineup. I watched it all 2 weekends on the livestreams. My best and favourite set is Sabrina Carpenter. I love the whole performance. She also invited Madonna to perform with her in weekend 2.
One month without F1 survived because I am also another fangirl. Although I did miss the races. But I am glad that I can watch Coachella during the zero races of F1.
Last, I watched Para Perasuk, and it was a good movie. Unfortunately, the movie did not last as long as I expected. It was also my first movie that I watched in the cinema this year. Full review will be next week!
