It isn’t failing at all. The bans though ineffective for older children are spurring a cultural change where the harms of social media are recognised and it will delay the introduction of social media in younger children.

Furthermore this has spread around the world with many other countries enforcing similar bans. Finally social media companies are starting to see the writing on the wall given the wave of laws coming and endless lawsuits and are being forced to make some changes to protect children- even though they themselves know it isn’t enough.

Stop being an apologist for a terrible industry that knowingly harms children.
