Baba Yaga and The Bible
I wrote this based on the day’s Gospel reading (of the 11th of August 2025)
Matthew 17:24–27 introduces us to a special God coin from a fish. I have used such concept in John Wick’s lore. And also, I gave a shout out to the mute assassin from Part Two, Ares, who showed how inclusive the society of assassins of John Wick was!

Not for bread, but for blood,
Accept, only if you are half mad —

Awoken from the Continental, still greasing his hair.
With a suit sharp and slick,
He dispatched everyone quick,
Leaving the bad guys no chance to repair.John wasn’t the Boogeman, you see –
He was the one you sent to kill such as he.
He would ask for “guns,”
And repeat: “Lots of Guns.”
Until, some girl assassin dies and be like.. “I won’t be seeing you in Chapter 3.”
