Bathroom, toilet and kitchen waterproofing with DRACO LASTIC 150
Reconditioning of bathrooms, toilets and kitchens is an essential task that requires good thinking and considerable financial resources. Changing water supply systems, sanitary ware and ceramic tiles is just one part of the story. The second part, but not least, is the waterproofing of these premises.
Waterproofing is essential to prevent the penetration of water and moisture into the floors and walls of our home, thus preventing damage to the building and preserving its aesthetic appearance. Raising a parquet or losing parts of plaster, bobbin and paint from the walls is proof of the lack of waterproofing or its poor performance. The most effective principle is to prevent penetration of water into layers of screeds and walls by installing waterproofing under the final coating, most often of ceramic. In this type of insulation, waterproofing coatings are regularly applied to which the final coating is directly applied.
DRACO LASTIC 150 is a new high-flexibility, two-component waterproofing coating. It represents the optimal choice for the waterproofing of bathrooms, balconies, terraces, parking lots, swimming pools, tanks, foundations and other constructions and dilatations. It is resistant to standing water, low and high temperatures, and continuous cycles of freezing and unfreezing. It is characterized by its fast and easy application as well as the adhesion to all types of materials used in construction. It is very important to note that DRACO LASTIC 150 can be applied to existing ceramic tiles — it is not necessary to remove them before laying the waterproofing. In addition to this, the new ceramic tiles are directly attached on the waterproofing coating DRACO LASTIC 150.

1)Clean the surface thoroughly, remove the loose parts and fill surface irregularities with adequate materials (we suggest epoxy resin or repairing mortar). If the substrate is porous it is necessary to moisten it.
2) When the substrate is prepared, mix both components of the DRACO LASTIC 150 waterproofing coating by using a mixer drill.
3) Apply the first layer of waterproofing highly flexible polymer-cement coating DRACO LASTIC 150 with a brush or roller to the complete surface of the floor and all the walls. It is also desirable to waterproof the wall around the sink. Also, all joints of the floor and walls as well as the mutual joints of the walls around the bathtub must be sealed with the DRACO BAND 100 or DRACO BAND 110.
4) Seal sanitary knots with a polyurethane kit DRACO FLEX 550 or DRACO FLEX 525
5)After the first coating layer has dried, it is time to apply a second layer of coating. It must be ensured that the waterproofing coating completely covers all sealing strips.
6) After drying the second layer of the waterproofing coating, ceramic tiles are placed directly on the waterproofing
