If you know me, you know that I absolutely love perfume. I love the way a scent can transport you back to a specific time or place in your life in an instant. Since working at The Perfume Shop, I have built up a little collection and I thought I would give you the low-down on three of my current faves that I have been wearing a lot over the summer. Disclaimer: if you don’t like sweet smells you probably won’t be a fan of these!

Image of three perfume bottles in front of a vase with fake flowers. The first bottle is tall with pink liquid inside and has a grey bow around the lid. The second bottle is much smaller with a blue stone lid and text saying ‘MY WAY’ on the glass bottle. The third is a small, vintage-looking bottle with text ‘Flowerbomb’ on the front.

This is, by far, my favourite perfume that I own and if you see me in person there is a 90% chance that I am wearing it. I don’t think I have a signature scent but, if I did, it would be this. It’s a floral scent with notes of bergamot and orange blossom, followed by a heart of tuberose and Indian jasmine. I won’t lie, this is incredibly, incredibly sweet and it probably won’t be everyone’s cup of tea. If someone walked past you wearing this, it would probably resemble a cloud of bubblegum. But I love that! I received a sample of this a while back in an online order and I immediately purchased it. The bottle is lovely too, with a beautiful blue stone cap. The bottle is refillable too which is great if you are trying to be more sustainable! Smell this if you get a chance.

This is such a lovely perfume. It’s a bit of a classic so many people will have already heard of or smelt this one. If I had to use one word to describe this it would be ‘delicate’. As the name suggests, this a fruity, floral scent. The heart notes are Sambac Jasmine, Cattleya Orchid, Centifolia Rose and the base notes are Amber, Cashmeran, Patchouli. I love this perfume as it reminds me of a close friend of mine as this is her signature scent. Every time I wear it I get hugely nostalgic for my uni days! The glass bottle is absolutely beautiful and looks incredibly classic and vintage.

This is another floral scent. Are we sensing a theme here? I actually got a compliment on this one on the underground the other day. Yes, someone actually interacted with a stranger on the tube- I was surprised too! 😂 I love this one. It smells incredibly sweet, with Iris as the key ingredient, surrounded by orange blossoms and jasmine in the heart. It reminds me of something you’d wear to a sophisticated lunch with friends. This one has serious staying-power too. Stunning. Also it’s another refillable bottle, which is great.
