Contact me for a copy of the investigative report. My interactive model provides leaders with the tools of the Emrick Imaging Authority Model: the Decision-Rights Matrix, the Authority Index, and the Integration Scorecard. Use them to score your own system and see whether your imaging leader holds real authority or only a title and a dashboard.
Most health systems still run radiology as a separate department inside each hospital, and then wonder why the MRI across town sits dark on Saturday while patients wait eleven days for a slot. This interactive infographic and leadership dashboard, built from my investigative report One Health System, Many Radiology Departments, examines the first two years of evidence from a health system that replaced hospital-by-hospital imaging leadership with seven enterprise modality directors. Weekend scanner use rose from 15 to 47 percent, and safety reviews completed within five days doubled. The dashboard explains what those results do and don’t prove, and what the local hospital gives up.
