“Everyone Has Their Own Struggles”

People often become so overwhelmed by their own problems that they lose sight of everything else around them. They also tend to believe that their troubles are a misfortune that only they themselves have to endure.

But is that really the case?

The reason we can empathize with others is that we, too, have experienced similar struggles. In other words, the problems we suffer from, or have suffered from, are not ours alone.

Everyone has their own struggles. Yet many people keep their pain bottled up inside because they see opening up to others as a sign of weakness or an exposure of their own shortcomings.

But suffering is a natural part of being human. So, sharing that suffering with others should be just as natural.

Don’t think of your struggles as problems that only you face. They are struggles we all experience in one way or another.

That was today’s Grain of Sand.

See you tomorrow~
