A Collection of Sourdough Recipes
I love sourdough baking items. Before you pull out the flour for the first time, though, know that a starter takes about 10 days — all you really need to do is add some flour and water to it daily during that time, in a glass or plastic (NOT metal) container, and stir with a non-metal utensil. You’ll see it getting bubbly. Be careful that your container is big enough, though, because it will grow!
After you have the starter established, or at least some discard for some of these recipes, anything you normally make might become a sourdough experiment!
English muffins
This is the single most popular item I make for my family on a regular basis. Need breakfast? Here. Ran out of bread? Here!
You do need a few hours for it to rise before you bake and it does use some yeast.
Chocolate muffins
These don’t come out super sweet but they are really chocolatey. My kids love them to pieces, literally.
