Let’s go up to Bethel
The sun goes up from the sky, and a new day has begun.
Where is your shield? Where is the sword?
It’s not time to fight, but it’s time to decide.
Who are you for, or who are you against?

Rise up, rise up; it’s time to choose a side.
Do you want them, those gods with eyes who don’t see
And ears they have but don’t hear
Who has a nose but doesn't smell?
Or do you want the one who created you?
and new you from the very moment you were in your mother’s womb
Arise, it’s time to put away those idols; it’s time to go up to Bethel and make a sacrifice.
It’s time to seek his face and call to repentance.
This time is not for long; it is as short as the whirlwind.
Come, let’s make an altar to the Lord who answered us in the time of our distress.
Come, let’s sing of his praises for the broken bars.
Come, let’s give praises to the king of kings who took care of us and was with us during our time in the wilderness
Come, let’s rejoice to the Adonai because I went empty, but I came back full.
Genesis 35:2–3 KJV
“Then Jacob said unto his household, and to all that were with him, Put away the strange gods that are among you, and be clean, and change your garments:
And let us arise, and go up to Beth–el; and I will make there an altar unto God, who answered me in the day of my distress, and was with me in the way which I went.”
