41% Once. Could I Repeat It? Mulberry Leaf Tea, Act 2
How to read this
- This is my own CGM record — one person, real meals, not a clinical study.
- Any single number can swing a lot. What I look at is the pattern across repeated tests, and I use it to fine-tune how I drink mulberry leaf tea.
- Your body may respond differently. Nothing here is a promise of the same result, and it isn’t medical advice.
This is Act 2 of my mulberry leaf tea series (tests #7–#11).
Act 1 showed me two things. In my body, mulberry leaf tea took about 30% off the glucose rise from 150g of white rice — again and again. And in the very last test, when I drank the powder right before eating instead of five minutes before, it jumped to 41%. Almost double the 22% I’d been getting at five minutes before.
But that was one test. Is 41% real? There’s only one way to find out: repeat the exact same conditions and see where the numbers land.
Result: Test #7 (powder, just before)
Rise: +50 mg/dL. A 32% smaller rise.
…It dropped. Not 41% — 32%.
“So 41% was a fluke too?”
This is where I stop reacting to every single number. Stay calm. Same conditions. Keep…
