Jigsaw’s Macroeconomics
“Now, let me tell you why we are here. You might misunderstand — it’s because I failed in crypto investments.”
…?
“Ah, of course — you are insiders of the crypto industry, and I am an outsider. It’s true that this difference between us defines our seats here. But in a highly divided society, such a distinction is only relative.”
In this ecosystem, there are countless fields. As its members, we live as insiders of some, and outsiders of others. Either way, we are there — because of money.
Civilization runs on the actions of people chasing money. It has always been so. If kings and nobles had the same wealth as commoners, would anyone have fought to claim those positions?
As the era when wealth was distributed by status passed, money emerged to the forefront as the driving force.
- Capitalism — a system where work and money are directly connected.
- Jobs — socially defined roles performed for income.
Today’s society needs many kinds of work — and just as many kinds of jobs. People work to earn money, and through that, nations run.
Then, what are the nature and causes of the health of nations?
In this world, money is like blood. Therefore, a healthy ecosystem is one where money circulates well. Here, another inquiry arises. What does ‘good circulation’ actually mean, when everyone wants to keep more for themselves?

Well, now is an era of freedom. Things adjust themselves — called “the invisible hand.” But one thing is certain. The invisible hand, left alone, becomes a bad hand.
Compared to creating added value and exchanging it for money, simply taking others’ money is far easier. That’s why, for a market economy to work, there must be systems to prohibit and monitor bad behavior. These are: legislation, judiciary, and administration.
- Economy — who gets how much money
- Law — rules to follow to get it
- Politics — decides what the rules are
Then, there’s a problem. This task of the system, ensuring that individual profit-seeking doesn’t harm the ecosystem, is still operated by people. Members of Congress, government officials, even the president ! For them, it’s just a job. How do we prevent their profit-seeking from harming society?
“Let’s take the issue of crypto as an example.
Before making any value judgment, it’s an existing socio-economic phenomenon. There are two kinds of questions:
How high will Bitcoin go? VS
What will be the consequences of Bitcoin to society?
One is about investment, the other economics. People only talk about the first. Meanwhile, should the government be doing the same?
I’m not saying the government is fully responsible for today’s chaos.
I’m asking whether the political and governmental actors asked the questions for their roles.
They must’ve asked something.
See all those campaign slogans like Support Blockchain Innovation,Lead the World Crypto Market.
What kind of questions led to that?”
‘…..’
“So I came to a realization.
Your hands need external support to keep from becoming harmful.”
‘Support?’
