I LOVE this article. We should be communicating better, negotiating better, conceptualizing what we will deliver better and in cooperation.

There is no argument that perceptions of the effort involved in delivering a particular solution exist. We all need to contribute to reaching a unified understanding as early as possible as to what can be delivered in what time frames.

As features become reprioritized, we have to agree that there will be trade offs to accomplish the new priorities.

I willing admit that i bring a militaristic mindset to technical engagements. The difference, i hope, is that i am not looking to be adversarial. Rather i am looking to suggest, compromise, and have meaningful discussions on how we best achieve success.

This article points out how we all tend to focus on just our piece of the puzzle, when we should be working in concert towards the desired business goal.
