This morning I misplaced my cell phone. I always called it, with my husband’s cell phone, however he is in Neuro ICU at Bay Health Medical Center in Dover, Delaware.

This picture reminds me, that when I was sixty -four years, old my son was brutally murdered at forty-four years old. I went out looking on the streets for my son’s killer, and that is when I really got to know him.

Richard L Jacobs Jr. was born on February 16, 1971. He was an easy child to raise. He was always eager to please. I considered him my best friend. He served with the military and fought on the front lines of Desert Storm, and he was awarded three bronze stars and the Medal of Valor. However, he did not like the suffering of war, and he wondered why people couldn’t talk out their differences instead of “killing each other”.

He wrote home to me once, “Whether the tears are Iraqi or American, they all looked the same.”

However, this article is not about my son Richard, although I will write an article about what I found out on the streets, while looking for my son’s killer.

What I want to write about today, is the kindness extended to me by the followers of my articles, and I appreciate everyone of you, more than you know.
