How I Master Claude Code with Spec-Driven Development

I used to start every feature the same way: open the file, share the file with AI, ask for some changes, and figure out the rest. It worked and was in fact productive.
There is just one thing with all that, the AI never had more context and could improve the code if not requested.
Imagine you simply share a file with your contractor and say: fix this!
“Why should I fix it? What does this file connect to? Is the error exactly in this file What improvements can I add?”
The contractor will feel lost, right?
But what if you shared a brainstorming/development specification document with your contractor, explaining all the whys and hows. Hold some discussion meetings about the solution and, after a clear scope of what needs to be done, both of you would agree to deliver that solution
That way, the contractor could work more effectively on the solutions. AI can do the same!
This is possible when we join Claude Code and Spec-Driven Development.
To make this real, let’s trace a real project through every phase: let’s build a real-time Datalake built on Microsoft Fabric Lakehouse, following the medallion architecture.
