Scapegoats
When Trump 2.0 needs a scapegoat, Joe Biden, illegal aliens, trans people, and antifa are at the top of the list. Abortion was seldom used until it came in handy to cover over a DOGE disaster.
One of Elon’s first targets as DOGE Czar was to dismantle the US Agency for International Development (USAID). Elon claimed it was “a corrupt and criminal organization”. Sending food and medical supplies to the poorest places on Earth is certainly “corrupt and criminal”.
When Elon shut down USAID, he left a warehouse in Belgium with $9.7 million worth of contraceptives about to be shipped to developing nations. Contraceptives have a limited shelf life especially in non-temperature controlled storage. European humanitarian organizations offered to purchase them before expiration. “Trump is forcing those free-loading Euros to arm Ukraine. Why not make them prevent AIDS in Africa by distributing condoms?”

Or maybe not. An eagle-eyed State Department employee discovered that the Belgian stash included the daily oral contraceptive Levonorgestrel. Now that stuff is only about half as effective as “Plan B”, the morning-after abrtion pill. Also, even RFK, Jr’s FDA does not list it as an abortifacient. But Congress passed a law that “prohibits providing certain assistance — directly or indirectly — to foreign nongovernmental organizations that perform or actively promote abortion as a method of family planning.”
The end result is that the contraceptives are still sitting in that warehouse. Uncle Sam spent $400 K to keep them rotting away there. Also, the US Treasury never got that $9.7 million for selling them.
But the important thing is that Elon and DOGE kept abortion pills (that are actually birth control and not really abortion pills) from people that need them. Abortion still works as a scapegoat for Trump 2.0 screw-ups.
