Honestly, this should make you laugh.

Long story short: In late 2025 I bought a couple of electronic doo-dahs from Taiwan. The delivery price via FedEx was $75.75USD. I paid Spanish customs around 89 euros and forwarded the proofs to FedEx. After many weeks of the box (all 150mm x 150mm x 50mm of it) lying about in Barcelona Customs, I got a notification that the goods were being delivered by a “trusted 3rd party supplier” and a few days later the goods arrived. Total journey time around 4 weeks! After taking only 3 days to get from Taiwan to Barcelona, the box obviously needed a rest before the last 100km leg of its journey.

2 days ago (10th June 2026), I received a FedEx paper invoice for 70.18 euros. The invoice was for “cesiones”. I wrote to FedEx asking what these “cesiones” were and why was I being invoiced 6 months after the event.

Turns out, I’m being invoiced for the 3rd party delivery!

Yup, after taking $75.75USD off me to deliver the stuff from Taiwan to my house and then not delivering it the last 100kms, when they decided to get someone else to do the delivery, they are now 6 months later are trying to get me to pay for their decision.

So they’ve had $75.75USD for not delivering something and then want an additional 70.18euros for getting some 3rd party wallah to do the necessaries where they couldn’t.

Be under no illusion that my reply was simple and direct and “NO”.
