I Found 1 Durban Learnership That Takes NTC4 With No Experience
If you're in Durban with Matric and NTC4 Engineering, you know the problem.
Every factory job post says: "2-3 years experience required."
How do you get experience if no one gives you a chance?
Last week I was checking opportunities around Durban Harbour and found one that is different.
TotalEnergies Marketing South Africa is running a 12-month Learnership at its Lubricant Manufacturing Plant – Wharfside & Causeway Road, Durban.
And the best part – it says less than 3 years experience. In fact, youth with no experience can apply.
Who is this for?
This is specifically for you if you have:
1. National Senior Certificate (Matric)
2. NTC4 Engineering in one of these: Mechanical, Chemical, Electrical, Instrumentation, or Industrial Engineering.
If you have a TVET background in Supply Chain or Logistics, that's an added advantage.
Why this one stands out in Durban

- Location: You are placed at the actual Lubricants Manufacturing Plant in Durban – not a call centre or classroom.
- Duration: 12 months fixed-term contract – proper workplace exposure.
- No experience barrier: Unlike most KZN manufacturing jobs, it is designed for youth entering the market.
What you need to prepare
Before you apply, make sure you have these ready:
- Certified copy of Matric certificate
- Certified copy of NTC4 certificate
- CV (1 page, clean)
- ID copy
All of this is done on the official TotalEnergies careers portal. Don't pay anyone. The company doesn't charge.
I wrote a full breakdown with the official application link, workplace location, and requirements here because Medium doesn't allow external job application tracking:

I update that site daily with verified Durban & KZN learnerships that don't require experience.
If this helped you, clap and share it with one person in Durban who has NTC4. That one share could change their year.
