Krinjal Khabiya: Taking Her FinTech Ambitions from the Classroom to Indian Bank!
From a digital payments research project to a bank audit internship, her MBA FinTech journey at Parul University.
Krinjal Khabiya chose an MBA in FinTech at Parul University after an undergraduate research project on digital payments. Her co-auditor internship at Indian Bank gave her hands-on experience with loan files, fixed deposits and cash operations. This is the traditional banking that FinTech is now reshaping.
Some students pick a specialisation. Krinjal’s specialisation picked her.
She is pursuing an MBA with a specialisation in FinTech at Parul University. She leads with it when she introduces herself, because her whole education has been moving towards it. She is from Tehsil Kushalgarh in Rajasthan, and she describes herself in one line.
“I am passionate about finance, fintech, and financial technology.”
Why FinTech, and why Parul University
Krinjal did not come to FinTech from outside. She completed her B.Com Honours at Parul University. She liked how the courses were taught and designed. So when it was time for a master’s, she stayed.
Her choice was based on her own experience, not on rankings or outside advice. The specialisation has a specific origin. During her B.Com, she did a research project on a digital payment system. As payment activity moved from traditional methods to digital ones, her interest in digital finance grew. FinTech became the obvious choice.
The two decisions fit together well. She stayed because the training had worked for her. She chose the field because her own research led her there.
The internship at Indian Bank
The most concrete part of her profile is her internship as a co-auditor at Indian Bank, through an audit engagement. It put her inside a working bank, not a classroom. The work was documentary and numerical in equal measure.

She reviewed home loan and overdraft account files. She checked fixed deposit records. She managed the cash loaded into the bank’s ATMs. And she tracked the branch’s daily cash transactions. All of it rewards accuracy and punishes carelessness. She counts it as part of her regular responsibilities, not a one-time exposure.
There is an honest link to her chosen field. Her passion for FinTech began when she studied a digital payment system and the digitalisation of finance. The traditional banking she worked with is exactly what digitisation is changing. Loan records, deposits and cash handling are all moving in that direction.
A student who has handled the manual version knows what the digital system is really replacing. That is something a book cannot fully teach.
How she prepared for placements?
Her placement preparation ran through the university’s training, in two stages.
The first was a 45 day internship training program. What she liked best was the trainer’s approach. Students were not corrected in front of the class. The trainer went to each student individually and showed where they had gone wrong. The training focused on doing, not just listening. It used a series of projects and datasets. She often returns to the word "shaping," because the repeated practice slowly shaped her abilities.
The second stage came after that. It prepared students for the selection rounds themselves, such as personal interviews and group discussions. These are the parts of placement where a candidate has to present themselves, not just complete a project. In her own words, it helped her shape herself for those rounds.
Alongside the training, she has also taken part in several competitions during her MBA.
Where she stands?
Krinjal is one of the students recognised as a Maverick at Parul University. Her account adds up to a student with one consistent line of interest and real workplace experience to stand on. She came to FinTech through her own research, not by default. She has already spent time inside a bank doing the careful records and cash work that a finance career is built on.
She describes herself as still eagerly learning about the business world. That is the right posture. She is early in the journey, clear about the direction, and building her profile with purpose.
