Anti-Semite-wrestler-gambler Running Against Anti-Muslim Lawmaker In Florida

9 min readMay 4, 2026

--

A far right, Florida Republican candidate for Congress is considered the most influential anti-Semite and anti-Zionist in the nation, according to a list from the Israeli government, which also placed climate activist Greta Thunberg as the second worst.

A list crafted by the Israeli Ministry of Diaspora Affairs considered the severity of individual actions and statements and the scope of their influence. It apparently conflated anti-Semitism and anti-Zionism in naming Swedish climate activist Thunberg as the second worst, ahead of such infamous white supremacists and Holocaust deniers, as Nick Fuentes.

Others on the list include comedian Bassem Youssef, a critic of Israel’s actions in Gaza, and conservative political commentator Tucker Carlson.

Tel Aviv University released a separate report this week that was highly critical of the Israeli government’s approach to anti-Semitism. The report said that “Israeli politicians and media have, particularly in recent months, continuously expanded the scope of what qualifies as anti-Semitism, at times in absurd or hasty ways.” The report called on the Ministry of Diaspora Affairs to be abolished for being, at times, an “embarrassment.”

Meanwhile, the trump administration continues to employ extremist, anti-Semites in high government posts and a New Hampshire lawmaker is pressing his case for Holocaust denial.

Enemy Number One

Topping the Israeli government’s list is Dan Bilzerian, a former wrestler, professional gambler and trump supporter.

Voters have a choice between the devil and the deep blue sea as Bilzerian’s opponent in the sixth Congressional District is Rep. Randy Fine, F-Fla., a devoted and virulent anti-Muslim.

Bilzerian is an unapologetic anti-Semite who has shown his colors time and again with outrageous comments.

In 2024, in the midst of the Gaza War, Bilzerian condemned Israel and supported Hamas, referring to the terrorist organization that attacked Israel on Oct. 7, 2023, as a “resistance organization” and calling its former leader Yahya Sinwar “a hero.”

Bilzerian said that the Jewish people perpetrated the forced famine in Ukraine under Josef Stalin, known as the Holodomor; he said that Jews had a role in the assassination of John F. Kennedy in 1963 and Muammar Gaddafi in 2011; that Jews created the “transgender nonsense;” and taht Jews orchestrated the September 11 attacks and the Iraq War.

Bilzerian also said that Nazi Germany “flourished” when “Hitler removed Jews from the banking system” and that Spain’s golden age began because it expelled the Jews at the end of the “Reconquista” in 1492. The Reconquista was a period in the Iberian Peninsula from 711 AD to 1492 AD. It involved a series of military campaigns by Christian states to recapture territory from Muslim rule and concluded in 1492 with the capture of Granada by the Catholic Monarchs, marking the end of Muslim presence in the region. The Jewish communities of Castile and Aragon , including around 200,000 people , were forcibly expelled and many other Jews were forced to convert to Christianity.

In a 2024 interview with Piers Morgan, Bilzerian said Judaism “promotes supremacy and rape, and steals from other people as long as they’re not Jewish” and that “most of the problems today are caused by Jewish supremacy.”

Bilzerian further argued that Jews “control the media” and he promoted Holocaust denial, saying that Jews “killed more Christians than six million” and that “they’ve basically invented genocide.”

Bilzerian, 45, who was born in Armenia, is an influencer with 29.6 million Instagram followers and 2.1 million X followers. His father is corporate raider, Paul Bilzerian, who spent four years in prison on federal charges that included tax fraud, security law violations and conspiracy. The elder Bilzerian also owes more than $180 million as a result of a suit filed by the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission.

Fine, who is Jewish, has shown his bigotry toward Muslims. He referred to Rep. Ilhan Omar D-Minn., as a “Muslim terrorist,” compared New York Mayor Zohran Mamdani to former Iranian Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei, and said dropping nuclear weapons on Gaza would only be a bad idea because “the fallout would drift into Israel.”

Fine also said that Armenian-Americans like Bilzerian should not be allowed to serve in Congress.

Thunberg

The Israeli government identified Thunberg as anti-Semitic because of her support of Palestinians and opposition to Israeli rule as she has used terms such as “genocide,” “siege” and “mass starvation” to describe Israel. In addition to her ongoing work for “climate justice” she has been a strong supporter of Palestinians and a harsh critic of Israel for the war in Gaza.

Thunberg, 23, gained global attention in 2018, when she started a solo school strike outside the Swedish parliament, which inspired the worldwide “Fridays for Future” movement.

Thunberg said she said she had been named the “second most dangerous antisemite in the world” because she used terms such as “genocide, siege and mass starvation” to describe conditions in Gaza.

“We must activate all parts of civil society to demand imposing sanctions, divestments, boycotts, accountability for war criminals, and cutting ending our complicity with genocide and apartheid,” she stated on a video.

Thunberg was detained by Swedish police in 2024 for joining in a pro-Palestinian protest outside an arena which was hosting the Eurovision Song Contest 2024. She later issued a statement opposing Israel’s participation in the contest. In September, Danish police again arrested Thunberg during a pro-Palestinian protest in Copenhagen against the Gaza war.

Less than a week later, she was removed from the library of Stockholm University after she participated in an encampment inside the library. Following the incidents, she was labelled “antisemite of the week” by “StopAntisemitism,” an American pro-Israel nonprofit advocacy group focused on exposing individuals for alleged anti-Semitic statements and behavior. Critics have said the organization focuses mostly on anti-Zionist voices.

At a pro-Palestine rally in Mannheim, Germany, in December, Thunberg said “Fuck Germany and fuck Israel.” A local politician accused Thunberg of “moving very consciously in close proximity to anti-Semitism.” Thunberg later said that she has broadened her focus to include human rights and global justice, voicing support for Ukraine, Palestine, Armenia, and Cuba.

On December 23, 2025, Thunberg was arrested in London for demonstrating in support of pro-Palestinian activists, who were undertaking a hunger strike while they were remanded in custody in the United Kingdom prison system.

In October 2023, Israel intensified its blockade of the Gaza Strip which Thunberg described as systematic starvation and genocide. Flotillas of small boats have tried to break the blockade and deliver humanitarian aid.

In May 2025, Thunberg planned to join a Gaza Freedom Flotilla at a Maltese port. The plans were cancelled when one of the vessels was attacked by drones in international waters. A month later, she joined the June 2025 Gaza Freedom Flotilla aboard the UK-flagged vessel Madleen.

A Quinnipiac poll from August found that half of American voters believe that Israel is committing a genocide. Thirty-nine percent of Jewish Americans believe Israel is committing a genocide, according to an October Washington Post poll.

Meanwhile, multiple trump White House officials have been shown to have ties to antisemitic extremists.

Paul Ingrassia

In April, Ingrassia, the White House liaison to the Department of Homeland Security, allegedly sent a string of inflammatory messages targeting fellow Republicans and Jewish politicians, calling them “fat Jewish Zionist f*cks.” Last October, Ingrassia allegedly sent messages that the Martin Luther King Jr. holiday should be “tossed into the seventh circle of hell” and wrote, “I do have a Nazi stream in me from time to time, I will admit it.”

After the 2020 presidential election, Ingrassia called for trump to declare martial law and called for secession if efforts to overturn the election failed. On the anniversary of the September 11 attacks, he shared a video that purported to show that the US government had advance knowledge of the attacks.

Ingrassia has repeatedly praised “manosphere” influencer Andrew Tate and worked on Tate’s legal team. Romanian authorities have accused Tate of human trafficking. Florida’s attorney general also opened an investigation into Tate and his brother, Tristan Tate.

The Anti-Defamation League said Tate “has leaned heavily into unabashedly antisemitic rhetoric, perpetuating Holocaust revisionism, spreading conspiracy theories about Israel, praising Hamas, performing Nazi salutes and encouraging people to embrace and openly engage in racism.”

Ingrassia was also seen at a June 2024 rally in Detroit led by Fuentes, a Holocaust denier and white nationalist.

Ingrassia has written that “dissident voices” like Fuentes have a place in conservative politics. He wrote a column, “Free Nick Fuentes,” criticizing the platform X for banning Fuentes over hate speech.

Ingrassia also supported the Patriot Freedom Project, which advocates for people charged in connection with the Jan. 6, 2021, attack on the U.S. Capitol. At a 2024 fundraiser for those arrested at the Capitol, he said the government has begun “prosecuting and jailing innocent American citizens like Tim, like so many of the people here today.”

Ingrassia was referring to Timothy Hale-Cusanelli, who was convicted of nonviolent offenses for storming the Capitol and was later pardoned by trump. Federal prosecutors described Hale-Cusanelli as a “Nazi sympathizer” who once went to work at a naval weapons station with a “Hitler mustache.” Hale-Cusanelli also recorded a lengthy video rant in which he compared Orthodox Jews to a “plague of locusts.”

Rachel Cauley

Before she was hired as the communications director for the White House Office of Management and Budget, Cauley served on the board of the Patriot Freedom Project. The project was formed in response to the arrest of Hale-Cusanelli. Cauley handled media requests for the group and attended Hale-Cusanelli’s criminal trial and sat with his supporters.

Cauley referred to the trial as a “clown trial” and said Hale-Cusanelli’s conviction was a “complete miscarriage of justice.”

Ed Martin

Martin, a longtime conservative activist, has been appointed to multiple roles at the Department of Justice. In August 2024, Martin praised Hale-Cusanelli as an “extraordinary man” and “extraordinary leader” and gave him an award for promoting “God, family and country.”

FBI Director Kash Patel is another trump administration official connected to anti-Semitic extremists. Before becoming FBI director, Patel was a guest eight times on a podcast hosted by far-right conspiracy theorist Stew Peters, who promotes Holocaust denial. Peters posted a photo of himself holding Hitler’s manifesto “Mein Kampf” with the message “visionary leadership.”

During Patel’s Senate confirmation hearing, Patel said he had no memory of knowing Peters.

Kingsley Wilson

Wilson, the Department of Defense spokesperson, has shared anti-Semitic conspiracy theories on social media, including references to the debunked “great replacement theory” and the lynching of Leo Frank in 1915.

Most historians believe that Frank was falsely accused of raping and murdering a 13-year-old girl while anti-Semitic extremists and neo-Nazis insisted that Frank was guilty. Wilson had similar comments in a 2023 post on X.

“Leo Frank raped & murdered a 13-year-old girl. He also tried to frame a black man for his crime,” Wilson wrote in 2023.

The Anti-Defamation League has described the “great replacement theory,” as a “racist conspiracy theory” supported by white nationalist groups. The theory claims that societal elites, often cast as Jewish leaders, are orchestrating mass migration to the United States in order to displace white people and seize power.

Wilson has praised Russian President Vladimir Putin and attacked Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy. She has promoted theories widely seen as anti-Semitic, criticized Republicans in Congress who supported Ukraine and frequently used a slur for people with intellectual disabilities.

In other posts, she has expressed support for colonialism, the Confederacy of the United States and a belief that the U.S is based on “blood and soil.” The phrase was an early Nazi slogan used in Germany to evoke the idea of a pure Aryan race and the territory it wanted to conquer.

Matt Sabourin dit Choinière

Sabourin is a Republican member of the New Hampshire House of Representatives. In January, Sabourin attended a public meeting on a bill to extend the state’s commission on Holocaust and genocide education. Sabourin proposed an amendment to include on the commission a representative from the Committee for Open Debate on the Holocaust (CODOH), a group known for Holocaust denial. The proposed amendment failed.

During his comments, Sabourin presented books endorsed by the CODOH, including books by Italian Holocaust denier Carlo Mattogno. Mattogno is an Italian writer who served on the Advisory Board of the Institute for Historical Review. The US-based group is central to the international Holocaust denial movement and has links to neo-Nazi and neo-fascist organizations.
