I have said it before but it bears repeating.
The software industry just changed forever. And it happened so fast. Never has such an important industry (just think how much effect sw has on modern life) been overturned so radically. Nobody knows what the outcome e will he be. But for sure things will never be the same again.
I just spent a few days getting sonnet to help me setup my local AI setup (127gb strix halo machine) as a cheap coding assistant. I eventually forgot that it wasn't a real human, we worked together to eke every bit of power out of that setup (cos AI is expensive but for a hobbyist). It's pretty good now, but not as good as sonnet, but it's free to me.
