Reflections Behind the Curtain, Under the Moonlight.
To be born in this era is truly something I consider a great privilege. God must have had something in mind when He placed us in this world at this particular point in time. Surely, we were not brought into existence merely to pass through this world for a fleeting moment, but for a purpose that is greater than ourselves.
I have come to realize that every single one of us comes from a different upbringing. There are countless things that shape an individual into the person they eventually become. Even when raised by the same parents, siblings can still develop entirely different traits, interests, and personalities, simply because of the different experiences and exposures they encounter throughout their lives.
I believe that not a single one of us is entirely alike in every aspect. And perhaps that is one of the most beautiful things about humanity: we, as human beings, are given the ability to live alongside one another in harmony, despite all the differences that make us who we are.
I find that most relationships we build outside our families are relationships that stem from our own initiative and are, in many ways, a reflection of our personal choices. There is something truly remarkable about our ability to connect with others, even those whose lives and experiences may be vastly different from our own, and to discover similarities in the midst of those differences.
Why is it that we are able to tolerate, appreciate, and respect one another despite everything that sets us apart? I believe these are gifts that God has already bestowed upon us as human beings. Through general revelation, we are given glimpses of His goodness, even in the ordinary experiences of our lives. Perhaps our ability to love, to understand, and to coexist with one another is one of the many ways we get to experience the love and tenderness of our Creator.

I know that this world is not always filled with peace. It is also a world full of hatred, division, and dissension, things that we, as human beings, are simply incapable of fixing on our own. We are, after all, fallen creatures, inherently sinful and incapable of loving others fully if we do not first come to understand that we ourselves are loved by our Creator.
I am truly grateful that I get to experience His love and respond to His calling. I yearn to see His presence and love spread throughout humanity. Yet, despite all these desires, I often find myself falling short because of my own human nature.
My lack of compassion and understanding are two things that continue to haunt me. I do try to work on myself, to become more understanding and compassionate towards others, but perhaps what I truly need to work on right now is not simply becoming a better person, but getting to know my Creator more fully, more deeply, and more intimately before anything else.
Oh, dear God, please help us navigate through these times. Please do not let us become like grains of sand, easily carried away by the slightest breeze in this vast world. Instead, let us be like a steady stream of water, gentle yet persistent, capable of wearing down even the hardest of rocks. May our lives become a testimony of Your truth, softening even the hardest of hearts and allowing those who have yet to know You to encounter Your love through us.
Let us fix our eyes on You, and You alone.
May all praise belong to You. Let me become smaller than a speck of dust in Your presence, while You remain as great and immovable as a mountain. May my life never be about making myself greater, but about making You known.
To God be the glory!
