NATO Has Sent Putin a Warning That Russia Cannot Afford to Ignore
General Alexis Grinkevich has outlined a strategy targeting Russian forces, military infrastructure, and command systems
General Alexis Grinkevich, a US Air Force officer with more than 2,300 flying hours of experience who has served as Commander of the US European Command and NATO’s Supreme Allied Commander Europe (SACEUR) since 2025, has sent a strong message directly to Moscow and the Kremlin.
He said in plain words that if Russian President Vladimir Putin ever makes the mistake of attacking NATO’s sovereign border, the alliance will put into action its predetermined military plan, the final result of which will be the complete and decisive defeat of Russia.
Grinkevich made it clear in his speech that NATO’s plan rests on three stages:
“We will first completely block the attack. If the attack continues, we will blunt it. And if needed, we will break the enemy’s forces and their entire war-fighting operational system.”
On one side, the Western alliance claims it is turning its borders into an unbreakable fortress; on the other, Russia is massing heavy military forces on its borders.
