Book Review #22 — Safe Harbour
A spoiler-free and unfiltered view on the Danielle Steel Novel
This book had been lying in my shelf for almost three years now. Finally I took the courage to pick this Danielle Steel novel. Why? Well, because I was little tentative about the nature and genre of the author’s works. But I felt this was the right time since I am coming from having read some serious and heavy books. I had three options from her works: A Good Woman, No Greater Love and this. Honestly, I selected this one based on the Goodreads ratings. Below are my good and bad aspects of this book, and the answer to whether I will pick another title from Steel.
THE GOOD
This was more like a comfort read to me, and the final feeling was one which warmed my heart. The content was very easy to read, and to follow through the story line. There were not many characters in the book, but the main 3 characters were very well written. The emotions were pure, and connected to me so much. The story is all about human relationships, and what people go through in their grief. One of the best written books on grief, from the ones I have so far read (Pet Semetary by Stephen King is one of them). One of the major positives in the book was the twist in the middle of the book. I pretty much felt that nothing drastic or plot-changing would happen…
