Tired of Trying, Yet Still Trying
Have you ever worked really hard for something and gotten nothing out of it? This happens in people many times when they’re preparing for competitive exams. They study for months (and sometimes years) and still don’t meet the goal.
The one thing I have learned is that it takes consistency and strategy to be successful. I studied for exams and got a fairly good grade but not high enough to get in. In retrospect, one of the biggest things I’ve done wrong is not having a Study Plan.
Every time I would develop a strategy, I would question it the following day. This plan can’t work, I would think, “let me do a new one. Consequently, I wracked my brain more than I acted, and I found myself spending more time planning than doing.
I also went off on a tangent with one topic. I wanted to learn as much as I could about anything before I went on to something else. A deep understanding is good, but I was going to spend 1 or 2 hours on one concept, and that sometimes ate up time to cover other important concepts.

My second big problem was inconsistent. Other days I worked hard, other days I didn’t.
Sometimes life does not run as smoothly as we would like it to. There are times when we feel like we’re about to see something great, only for a turn for the worse to occur. This can be frustrating and discouraging to them. They may leave us feeling exhausted, let down and sometimes even give up.
The margin of success and failure in a competitive examination is very thin margin. Two or three ranks can make a difference between being able to get a seat or not getting a seat. This is why it is crucial to be consistent, plan ahead, and have a proper strategy.
You might have felt the same way as you are reading this. If you do, know you are not alone! Try again, learn from your failures and go on. Sometimes things may not go as smoothly as expected, but it is through that process that we learn something valuable.
Your perseverance can pay off one day with a chance you’ve been longing for.
Thank you for your time.
