Why do notification links break?
Jul 31, 2026
I’ve noticed that if I publish an article here on Medium, then go back and edit it (because I belatedly spotted a dumb typo), the link to the story that gets emailed to my readers is broken (you’ll just get some sort of “story no longer exists” message). Just letting you know, so you don’t think I’m just some asshole that keeps posting stories, then erasing them.
