Is broccoli the king of vegetables? — a shared writing prompt
2 nights ago after a dinner of baked potatoes and mushroom pasta, i began to ponder…
“if mango is the king of fruits? then who is the king of vegetables?” — safah ali
heres a cartoon concept idea me and 1 very good friend came up with:
brocolli is the tyrant king, the powerful, the warlord, the protector, the ruthless defender of his empire.
asparagus is the evil dethroned queen that has lost her powers but lurks in the castle walls and rouses trouble wherever she can, which is often, she has lost much of her physical form and is more ghost than body

brussell sprouts are the rebells, the gremlins, the sinister soldiers by day and rukus causers by night
potatoes are the peasants, they work hard and are very poor, farmers the most of them, though every now and then they raise a brussel sprout and that town is soon left burnt and shambled. the king does not care for his people, brocolli only cares to be the most powerful.
episode 5, brocooli lounges on his throne, he orders a potato family to be executed for not paying tax in full, knights cvome running to the throne room, and present to the king a box, in the box is bloody aubergene, the kings right hand man is dead and dessecated.
brocolli is angry, he yells some orders and storms out of the throne room, out of the castle and straight to a podium where the people have already gathered for the kingsd announcement. carrot is a banker, he takes to the side of the podium, and when broccoli declares was on his own bruseel sprouts, the crowd cheers and sobs, they cannot afford another war, not a civil war, not so soon, the rebells will destroy the farmers, but brocolli has said his word, just before the scene changes, carrot is seen smirking — carrot knows something.
now i dont have a sequence or a following story, but this sounds like an entertaining dumb cartoon, i want you to partake in this idea with me, write down your own opinions, small narratives or even which other vegetables play what role, what are the onions?
i wanna have fun with this, so consider it a creative excercise shared by the internet. im looking forward to your takes!
