Avoid These 5 Mistakes I Made in My Online Business
When I first started my online business, I thought I had it all figured out. I’d read every blog post, watched every YouTube tutorial, and followed every “guru” on social media. I was ready to make bank, quit my job, and live the laptop lifestyle. Spoiler: it didn’t go as planned. Instead of instant success, I stumbled through a minefield of mistakes that cost me time, money, and a whole lot of sanity.
If you’re thinking about starting an online business — or you’re already in the thick of it — this is for you. I’m not here to sell you a course or dazzle you with fake success stories. I’m just going to lay out the five biggest mistakes I made when I started my online business, a print-on-demand store selling custom T-shirts, and how you can avoid them. Trust me, I wish someone had told me this stuff before I dove in headfirst.
Mistake 1: Chasing Every Shiny Opportunity
When I launched my business, I was like a kid in a candy store. Dropshipping? Sure! Affiliate marketing? Why not? YouTube channel, blog, Etsy shop — sign me up! My T-shirt store got half-hearted effort, my blog posts were rushed, and my affiliate links went nowhere.
