Objects with Personality
Spirit Attachments to Objects
When I was first learning about spirituality, I used to believe that all things, including objects, held some sort of sentience. However, once I began working with Falcon, he corrected me on that. He explained that while that’s not the case, it’s easy to get confused because many objects have spirits attached to them. This can cause the objects to seem to possess some form of sentience, but in reality, what people are seeing is the sentience of the spirit attached to the object.
He went on to talk about why this happens. There are a variety of reasons, but the two most common reasons are the following:
- The spirit knows the object will eventually go to a certain person, so they use that object as a way to connect to that person.
- They draw energy from the object, or the object holds an energetic signature/vibration they like, which is why they stay with it.
Falcon is now guiding me to share a few examples of times I’ve encountered items with spirit attachments.
This first example took place before I’d begun working with spirit beings. I was just beginning to learn about spirituality, and I went to a shop where they had an assortment of pendulums on display. I noticed one Merkaba star-shaped pendulum made of brecciated jasper that began moving on its own. This fascinated me, so I decided to purchase it.
What I didn’t realize was that it had moved on its own because there was a spirit attached to it. I was also new enough to spirituality that when I was working with a pendulum, in general, I didn’t understand that it involved communicating with a spirit being. At the time, I believed that the pendulum held its own sort of sentience, and that’s where the answers were coming from. I believed in spirits; it’s just that I didn’t yet understand how they worked and interacted with people.
Although I’d used a pendulum before, I quickly realized that this one was different. I would ask it questions, and it would give me answers that weren’t quite right, almost like it was teasing me. As an example, because you can use pendulums to find objects, I decided to practice with it by asking it to help me find a pencil. Instead, however, it led me to a crayon. I would ask it questions I knew the answer to, and it would answer them incorrectly, then quickly switch its answer like it was changing its mind, as if it was a game.
It never felt malicious, but instead, playful. I had another pendulum as well that worked normally and answered questions correctly, and I assumed that this other pendulum knew this, so it would tease me, just for fun. I didn’t understand that this was the spirit attached to the pendulum, rather than the pendulum itself that was doing this.

While it was interesting, it also wasn’t particularly helpful when I needed questions answered. Because of this, when I connected with someone in the spiritual community who showed interest in it, I decided to give it to them. They lived in another state, so I packaged it up to mail it to them. However, about a week later, I received it back, with writing I couldn’t make out scribbled on the packaging. The pendulum was fine, but the package was beat up and covered in what looked like dirt and grass stains.
I connected with the intended recipient, and they said they’d never received it, so I tried sending it again. Again, the package was returned to me, looking quite beat-up, without a clear explanation as to why it was being returned. I’d never had issues sending something via the local postal service before, so this was very odd. I tried sending it one more time, and I have no idea what happened to it. It didn’t return to me, but the recipient never received it either. All I can guess is that the spirit attached to it had wanted to connect with someone specific, so it used me to facilitate its transport.
In this next example, I’d been working with spirit beings briefly, so I had a slightly better understanding of what was going on, but I was still very new to everything. At this time, something I enjoyed doing was going to thrift shops and getting old teapots and teacups. I would then go home and, using a specialized drill bit, drill a small drainage hole into the bottom of them. From there, I could turn them into planters, and they made lovely, inexpensive gifts.
One day, I came across a little dark ceramic teapot. I wasn’t planning to get it, as I’d wanted something more brightly colored, but I felt this unusually strong pull towards it. I ended up getting it, along with a few other items. When I got home, I began setting the items out on a table in front of me so I could start drilling them.
Suddenly, just as I got out the teapot and set it on the table in front of me, the other items began bursting and shattering into pieces right before my eyes. It didn’t happen all at once — the items shattered one at a time, in the order they were lined up. I knew right away that there was something negative attached to the teapot, so I told it to leave my home immediately and that it wasn’t welcome. As soon as I did that, the items stopped breaking. I lost a few pieces, but thankfully, several others, including the teapot, remained intact.
From there, with the spirit gone, I was able to convert the teapot into a nice little planter without issue, along with the remaining items. After that, I never experienced any other oddities with it. It really was just due to whatever attachment it had carried. Falcon wants me to add a little note to say that this is a good example of why, anytime you purchase something secondhand, it’s a good idea to give it some sort of spiritual cleansing, even if it’s simply through visualization or intention-setting, just to be safe.
The final example he’s guiding me to share is of a crystal I’d gotten. This took place during a time when I was much more experienced in spirit work. I was visiting some friends in a town I’d never been to before, and they invited me to check out a little metaphysical shop with them. When I went there, I came across a green aventurine crystal that I felt not just a strong pull towards, but a positive energy radiating from it as well.
That’s the key difference between the crystal and the teapot. Just because you feel a pull towards something, that doesn’t automatically mean it’s positive. Negative beings can create that same sensation of a “pull” just as positive beings can. That’s why it’s also important to pay attention to the energy of an item when you feel pulled towards it. If you’re unsure about an item, ask your guides. That’s something else I failed to do in the teapot scenario.
Returning to the example, I decided to get the crystal, and once I left the shop, one of my guides appeared to me and introduced me to the spirit that was attached to this crystal. They explained that this spirit had been waiting for me, as it was another one of my guides. It had used this crystal to facilitate connecting with me. I no longer have the crystal, but I still work with this spirit being to this day. The spirit still radiates that same intensely positive energy, as the energy wasn’t coming from the crystal, but rather, from the spirit being itself.
Something Falcon wants me to clarify is that feeling a draw to an object doesn’t always mean it has a spirit attached to it. Sometimes, our guides will create that feeling of a “pull” towards an item in order to encourage us to engage with it if it’s something they want us to work with.
An example of this is with a tarot deck Falcon had me purchase a while back. I hadn’t been planning to get one, but I felt a strong pull towards it, and, upon inspecting it, Falcon started nudging me to get it. I was pleasantly surprised to find that the deck was greatly discounted in price, which I took as another sign of confirmation that I was supposed to get it. There was no spirit attached to this deck, however; the sensation of a pull I felt from it had been created by my guides, because this was a tool they’d wanted me to work with.
With that, Falcon is telling me to bring this to a close, so I hope everyone has a beautiful day!
