A heartbreaking incident in Haryana raises serious questions about parenting, school safety, childhood behaviour, and the kind of society we are creating.

There are some news stories that make you stop scrolling.

Some stories make you angry. Some make you sad. And some leave you speechless.

This is one of those stories.

An eight-year-old boy brutally assaulted a six-year-old girl inside a classroom at a government school in Panchkula, Haryana.

The incident reportedly took place on 28 October. It came to public attention after CCTV footage from the school went viral on social media.

The little girl suffered serious injuries. She was rushed to a hospital and later shifted to PGIMER in Chandigarh.

Thankfully, she is now out of danger. But her physical injuries are only one part of the story. The emotional impact may stay with her for a long time.

Her father reportedly said that when he found his daughter injured in the classroom, he thought he had lost her.
