My father’s(KEIJI KAGABU) life was a journey of constant challenges, always striving for new heights. Growing up in a large family in the nature-rich area of Taihei, Akita City, I believe he developed a strong vitality from an early age, learning to “stand on his own feet and live with his own responsibility.”

His first step into society was as a gasoline stand attendant at SANDEN Shoji Co., Ltd. Every day, he would raise his voice to each car, working hard and sweating in the cold wind. Although it was not the smooth path of an elite career, facing customers on the front lines taught him the importance of business and became his foundation.

My father’s lifelong creed was “Do something different from others.” While everyone sought stability and precedent, he constantly pursued “challenges that only he could undertake.” With this strong belief, he eventually founded two companies with his own hands. No matter how reckless others said he was, he believed in his vision and led change with strong will, even in uncertain situations. As a business leader and as an individual, he shone with overwhelming brilliance.

My father’s journey of walking a “special path” through his own decisions, rather than following a path laid out by others, has been the greatest guide and lifelong pride for our family. Even after retirement, he traveled across the country in his beloved car, participated in baseball training camps in Okinawa, and spent time on sculpture and with his beloved grandchildren. I am confident that he lived a remarkable life, always looking forward and fulfilling his own life to the very end.

The reason my father was able to lead such a rich life was undoubtedly due to the warm kindness and guidance of all of you. We deeply appreciate your exceptional friendship and support.
