Ra-09 (LoRaWAN module STM32WLE5 chip)secondary development environment construction and firmware burning instructions
#LoRaWAN module #STM32WLE5 #Development tutorial
The Ra-09 module is a LoRaWAN node module developed by Shenzhen Ai-Thinker Technology Co., Ltd. The module core processor chip is a highly integrated, low-power LoRa radio chip (SoC) that supports LoRa and LoRaWAN. It supports access to chirpstack, TTN and other servers.
1 Keil development environment construction
1.1 SDK

1.4 Get SDK
Ra-09 module open source SDK obtain link:https://github.com/Ai-Thinker-Open/Ai-Thinker-LoRaWAN-Ra-09.git
Note: The source code will be updated in real time. It is recommended to use the git tool to download the source code directly.
1.5 Toolkit import
The tool package required for compiling the Ra-09 module is Keil.STM32WLxx_DFP.1.0.7.pack;
First, open the GPIO routine in the source code(path:STM32Cube_FW_WL_V1.3.0\Projects\NUCLEO-WL55JC\Examples\GPIO\GPIO_EXTI\MDK-ARM),as below:
After opening, keil5 MDK will automatically download compilation and other related tools. If there is a problem with the network, you need to manually install the tool:
1) Cancel the download
2) Click file → import, and point the path to the folder where the tool is located
3) After the import is successful, reopen the project.
4) After the project is successfully opened, click the Rebuild button, the tool is successfully installed, and the compilation will be completed.
1.6 Modification of project chip parameter configuration
The official only provides relevant application demos for STM32WL55JC and STM32WL55JC1. Due to the incompatibility of encapsulation, we cannot directly use the relevant programs and need to transplant them before they can be used. 1.7 Compilation
After completing the parameter configuration, reopen the project with keil MDK, click the Rebuild button, and complete the compilation. After compiling, the firmware LoRaWAN_AT_Slave.hex will be generated in the path: STM32Cube_FW_WL_V1.3.0\Projects\NUCLEO-WL55JC\Applications\LoRaWAN\LoRaWAN_AT_Slave\MDK-ARM\LoRaWAN_AT_Slave.
2. Firmware program
2.1 Install the burning tool
Link to obtain the burning tool: STM32CubeProgrammer
Run the application to complete the software installation:
Open the burning software, click open file, and select the file we just compiled;
2.2 Hardware cable wiring
After connecting the module’s PH3 pin to a high level, pull down the NRST pin to configure the module to enter the burning mode. For the software part, click connect and then click Download. When the progress bar is full, the module is burned successfully.
2.3 Firmware Verification
After the firmware is successfully burned, leave the PH3 pin of the module floating, click to disconnect the module from the burning software, open the serial port assistant, connect the module, configure the serial port baud rate to 9600, reset the module, obtain the startup information, and send the ID read command. The effect is as follows:
