Screen
Continued visualization of a process in progress
So, I am using a server machine for my experiments. The problem I had was that I need to see the output on terminal to see how the learning process has progressed. There is one way to use file writing which is as follows:
python script.py >> nohup.out
By executing the above command, the output which was directed to the terminal will be saved in a file named nohup.out.
Another method to instantly look at the current output of a process is to use the package screen.

Installation:
sudo apt install screen
Start a session using the following command:
screen -S my-session
Run your process:
python script.py
Detach from the session:
Press Ctrl+a, let go, then press d
Reattach to check output:
Check active screen sessions: screen -ls
Reattach: screen -r my-session
Disconnect an active session and reattach:
screen -d -r my-session
That’s it for now. See you later.
